"We had a lovely stay at Mill Cottage."
Burton Fleming is a very quiet village and it was a nice base for us to explore East Yorkshire. The children aged 8 and 6 loved the garden and spent lots of time feeding the cows- they can’t wait to come back! The cottage was a little chilly at times and we had to make use of the convector heaters in all rooms. Great facilities but struggled a bit without WiFi as the phone signal is pretty poor in the area. Overall we had a lovely stay.
"The place is lovely."
The garden is beautiful and the cows out the back were a lovely surprise for my kids who used the apples off the apple tree to feed them .the owner was a phone call away and was very helpfull when ever i needed to ask were something like was .would definitely recommend and stay again also the couple who libe round the corner and do the bins for you were really nice ..lovely holiday. Just what we needes
"Lovely comfortable cottage in great location close to many resorts."
Owner Helen a pleasure to speak to. Lovely safe back garden for children. Does need to have free wi-fi though. A great place to relax. Ten minutes travel to Honeypot pub in Speeton for good food.

The cottage was lovely in a quiet village, the facilities and amenities were excellent and the garden was perfect especially with outlet two little ones The only downside was that The signal was poor in the cottage, you’d think in this day and age that free wifi would be a given
"The cottage was lovely in a very peaceful setting the only thing we had to do ..."
The cottage was lovely in a very peaceful setting the only thing we had to do was a temporary repair on the back fence because it was broken and there was a large gap into a field that had cows in it the fence is in need of some repairs
"Lovely comfortable well equipped cottage with lovely garden ."
Location is good for exploring local area. Spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend.
"Lovely little end terrace cottage, well situated and was the perfect base for our week away."
Dog friendly and secure, large rear garden. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need.10 minute drive to the stunning beach of Hunmansby Gap, with ample, cheap parking. Nice little village with a pub (does'nt open Mondays). Close to Filey, Bridlington , Scarborough and surrounding areas. We would definitely stay there again.
"We have used this cottage frequently and love it and the area."
Due to covid the extra cleaning products and hand wash/sanitizer were in abundance at this place. Really made us feel safe and cared for. Well done to cleaner and owner.
"The Cottage was lovely and homely, Spotless, Soap, Hand wash in Bathrooms and kitchen all cleaning products supplied."
Burton Fleming very nice quiet village, lots of walks you can do. Helen the owner very helpful and lovely to talk to, also Jenny and Gordon clean the cottage and do a good job all very nice people. Enjoyed our stay
"The cottage is very clean and comfortable, but the seating in the sitting room would be a squeeze for six people, it was fine for us with four."
Our dog enjoyed the garden and it is good to see the cows in the field. We enjoyed our stay!
"Some protection required at the top of the stairs for children to stop them falling down the stairs as they are very steep."
"We had a lovely time at The Old Mill Cottage."
It's is comfortable with plenty of room for a family and in a lovely quiet location. The garden was great for my 6 year old grandson who loved to go out every morning to look for the 2 cows in the field behind. It was well equipped with everything we needed and well placed for visiting the coast. The beach at Fraisthorpe was a particular hit with my grandson with parking at Auburn Farm for only £3 for the day. It was quite busy when we visited but there was plenty of space and people were keeping to social distancing. It's definitely a cottage we would visit again and recommend to family and friends.
"Charming cottage with a very well equipped kitchen, superior lounge and dining room furnishings and a lovely log burner to enjoy."
Upstairs we appreciated the powerful shower and comfy beds. The cottage is immaculately clean. Great location for trips to Filey, Scarborough etc, don’t miss the fish and chips in neighbouring Hunmanby.
"Great location to all nearby coastline for Filey Scarborough and Bridlington."
Cottage was lovely and homely everything you needed was there, all that is missing is WiFi. The garden was great for my dog. The village of Hunmanby is great also with a butcher , bakers and little coop lovey fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs. Did not visit the pub within walking distance of the cottage as was winter hours and did not open till 5pm each day and we were all cosy in the cottage by that time. Would definitely recommend and rebook.
"Lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside but close to some lovely beaches."
Large garden was really appreciated by grandchildren. Cottage was well equipped, clean with all you could want for a holiday by the sea.
"Lovely, comfortable and clean cottage."
Large private garden, great for the kids. The cottage had a very well equip kitchen including everything you needed as well as a utility room with downstairs toilet. Great base for visiting Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough.
"The garden was lovey but not overly suitable for young children with all the different levels/slabs/edging."
The stairs are very precarious not really suitable for elderly people, after nearly falling down the stairs on the first day we decided to go down the stairs backwards. Other than these we found the house was more than suitable, nicely decorated with everything we needed. The location was brilliant and it was in a lovely quiet village.

"It's a lovely quiet cottage."
Very simple, practical place for the six of us, four adults, two kids. Lots to do nearby on the coastline. Loved our holiday.
to get the welcoming gift and the firewood being there was wonderful. It was a great cottage get me, my wife, son and daughter in law and two teenage children to stay in. Really nicely equipped
"We had a really restful and relaxing holiday in this beautiful cottage, there was everything you could possibly need, and after a very stressful move, just what we needed."
The owner was so kind when we spoke to her, and was concerned whether we were warm enough, and comfortable, we certainly were. Thankyou for allowing us to enjoy your darling cottage. It was so homely. Daphne
"Lovely cottage with everything you could need and big enclosed garden for our dog."
Helen (the owner) was lovely and very helpful.
"Could do with miŕror in bathroom and socket by dressing table in back double bedroom."
"We booked a week away in a cottage from sykes, Many thumbs up and a lot of likes, The villagers were lovely and the sea close by, Good time was had by all,we were sad to say goodbye."

"Pleased with the secure, large garden for my dog and off road parking."
No real shops in the village anymore i.e.. butchers. Local people were very friendly and great with my dog. Had to make a call as there were no lights working on the very steep stairs. This was dealt with the next day. Enjoyed our holiday visiting the area but disappointed in the shabiness of Bridlington.
"The garden was lovely, a really nice rural location and village."
The cottage was even better than the pictures. Our four year old son loved the garden. Additionally games and Dvd were helpful.
"Only problem we had was no internet, when trying to connect we got BT FON offer £7."
99 a day it is cheaper by the week but think it should be included in the rent as with every other property we have stayed in . This is the only thing that would stop us re booking .
"Lovely quiet village just fifteen minutes from the coast nice to come back to after a busy day out sit in the garden with a glass of wine and chill out."
"Beautiful quaint cottage & garden ..."
Beautiful quaint cottage & garden Parking great lovely village Easy access to most places Lovely dog walks down by the river Really enjoyed our stay Thankyou
"The house was very comfortable with a well equiped kitchen."
The stairs in the property were very steep and care needed to be taken to avoid falling down them. The amenities in the village were nearly non existent. We were very disappointed with the village pub....no food, poor opening hours. Village was not what we were expecting at all from the description.
"Lovely comfortable cottage in quiet village."
Had everything we needed including comfortable bed, log burner and private enclosed garden. It was really cosy with the fire burning and the garden was perfect for the dog.
"Suitable for a quiet get away from it all holiday."
