  • "Excellent cottage in the centre of the village, surrounded with ample local facilities including dog friendly pubs, Lighthouse fish and chip shop, butchers, sandwich shop and Coop supermarket."

Would highly recommend the cottage which we found was immaculate inside and a great dog friendly garden. Also ideal for great walks. Had to cut short our stay by coming home 1 day early before the arrival of Storm Babot but mother nature is something we could not control. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay. Thank you Sharon.

  • "A lovely cottage and very well equipped."

Great position, close to the pubs and shops. Many walks available in the beautiful area. Only very small issue was the weak shower but that probably can't be helped.

Ideal location for local shops, pubs, walks and even the bus stop is virtually on the doorstep. Everything was as advertised and most importantly, spotlessly clean. Thanks to Sharon for calling in shortly after our arrival to ensure all was OK All in all, an excellent week. Even the weather was kind.

  • "A lovely and well equipped property in an excellent location to enjoy all that Flamborough and the surrounding area has to offer."

Accommodation provided everything needed for a couple and their dog. As another reviewer has commented the photos do not do the property full justice. No hesitation in recommending and hope to return at a future date.

  • "Lovely well equipped property."

Very clean no problem with on street parking. I had a bit of difficulty with stairs which are narrow and didn't have a bannister. Would recommend the property. Welcome biscuits and milk etc. appreciated. Didn't use garden as due to excellent weather was out everyday but it looked very well maintained.

Sharon the owner met us and showed us around the cottage which was very helpful and welcoming the log burner made it really cosy in the evenings. I would definitely recommend booking a stay here.

  • "The cottage is very comfortable and the rooms light and spacious."

There is good soundproofing from the infrequent traffic. The front bedroom might benefit from venetian blinds or net curtain when double-decker buses pass by! Every modern piece of equipment is thoughtfully provided though we couldn't find instructions for the microwave. There are some impracticalities - the doors to the stairs and the utility room open into the same space, and the dining chairs are squashed into the under-stair area. There is a narrow step just outside the front bedroom door which could be hazardous in the dark. There is no handrail on the stairs. The garden is well-maintained and lovely even in autumn.

  • "We stayed mid-September for a long weekend."

The cottage was really clean, with helpful hosts and I would highly recommend for couples. Great location, several pubs within walking distance and a park to walk the dog. Lovely little enclosed garden and great walks nearby. The cottage was really well-equipped, we did not find ourselves wishing for further utensils or pots. There is also a Co-op within walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We found the cottage to be really clean and tidy, additionally the cottage was very well equipped with quality appliances. I was able to park the car right outside the front door on every occasion we returned from a day out. Overall we were very well pleased and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there

Insufficient supply available. The garden steps need to be improved. They are too high for both humans and animals. The cottage is very comfortable, situated in a lovely village with easy access to surrounding attractions. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "We really enjoyed staying at this property, it was so handy for all the local shops and pubs, great beaches are close by too."

The property itself was spotlessly clean and very well appointed, the owners had thought of everything, it was a real home from home. Couldn’t fault the place even the garden at the rear of the house was a lovely little sun trap. Parking was on street but we never had any problems parking right outside. We found the house and location quiet enough too. We would definitely stay here again.

About the location

FLAMBOROUGH

Bridlington 4 miles; Filey 7 miles; Scarborough 18 miles.

The pretty village of Flamborough occupies a superb setting, perched on a picturesque peninsula on the East Coast of Yorkshire, 4 miles from Bridlington. Housing traditional fishermen's cottages and a small selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants, Flamborough also has much to offer the rambler, historian and birdwatcher. There are spectacular cliffs, which form an eight mile stretch of Heritage coastline, and at Flamborough Head, stand two historic lighthouses, one of which is the oldest one in Britain, built in 1674. To the north of the village, the magnificent 400 feet high cliffs are home to one of the largest colonies of nesting sea birds in England. Discover the puffins at Bempton, follow the fascinating natural trails at South Landing and the wooded ravine at Danes Dyke, or explore the smugglers’ caves at North Landing. Enjoy a spot of fishing or a boat trip to explore the sea caves. Flamborough Head is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys beautiful coastal scenery and bracing sea air.
