It truly is a well laid out property and so very stylish and tastefully furnished. A bonus for us is, it only accommodates two people and yet has a ‘sofa each’ and plenty more seating besides … a rareity in some properties. The owners also, are really approachable and felt very comfortable in their company. We know it won’t be our only visit … Thank you to Nick & Cath

  • "We absolutely loved this property, it was just our taste."

It was clean cosy and of very high quality. The owners were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble when we needed anything. The only minute thing I’d point out is ….. on the instructions of the property it asks you to bring t towels, could tea coffee & sugar be put on there also as I failed to take any as other properties I’ve been in supply this xxx Cath did bail me out with some until I got to the local shop The little village has 2 shops & 3 pubs / restaurants and some beautiful local walks

Pleased you enjoyed your stay. I’ve addressed your issues and put a few supplies in the kitchen but Beacon Heights is a self catering property. I’m at a loss regarding the instructions asking guests to bring their own tea towels though as two are supplied on each change over. Kind regards, Cath Property Owner

Exactly as described - the photos don't really do it justice. Location was excellent for a quiet, "get away from it all" break. Perfectly isolated on the edge of the village with two terraces overlooking farmers fields but a 5-10 minute walk gets you 3 pubs, a supermarket, Post Office, restaurant, cafe, 2 x fish & chip shops and a fast food takeaway. We were lucky to have nice weather for the majority of the stay and the annex/cottage was very well maintained, equipped and in a lovely position to take advantage of the local area. The bifold windows on each floor provided lovely views and the sun shone through when it was sunny, which also heated the property up. It is just a 2 minute walk to the coastline where there are public footpaths to enjoy the coast and beaches. The cottage is quiet, situated at the end of a small village so ideal for a little break away from everything, but only a short drive to close by towns. Copperfields cafe in the local village is a must go to for both breakfast and lunch. Although during our stay the owners were also on holiday themselves, they ensured everything would be clean and set up for us, keeping in contact to make sure we got in safe and were happy, along with leaving contacts in case we needed any help whilst we were there. They returned just before we left and both Cath and Nick were lovely and welcoming. We would like to thank them for their hospitality and would definitely stay again. Many thanks, Alex and Alex

The weather didn't allow for us to use the terraces, but they must be great for when its warmer..We used the log burner ( and provided with logs ) which gave the lounge an extra cosy feel. Its a great location for walks from the doorstep to the cliffs and the village had a few great pubs to visit. A really nice pace to stay,, recommended !!

  • "Spotlessly clean and superbly presented."

There's some lovely interior design touches, nothing chintzy here! We left clutching a lighting catalogue from a local company given to us by Cath as we liked some of the lights in the property so much! We didn't make much use of the outside decks as we arrived just a few days after Storm Arwen but we'd be sorely tempted to return in sunnier months to enjoy the views in better weather. However, the property was really cosy at night with loads of space to stretch out in front of the log burner after a day exploring. Cath & Nick were incredibly welcoming and happy to pass on local knowledge. They recommended The Seabirds Inn for a meal and we weren't disappointed - very good food & drink 10 minutes walk away. There are lovely walks from the door. We walked the coast path in both directions during our stay - Bridlington & back (home via the Ship Inn in Sewerby for extra refreshment!) and round to Flamborough Head / North Landing. Overall - a 5 star property.

The view from the bedroom and living area is really special - even on the days without sun, we enjoyed just looking out. The house and balcony areas felt very private and secure. Additionally, Cath, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. She rang me up beforehand and assured me that everything was clean and sanitised - there were also masks and sanitiser left for us, which was thoughtful. She was exceptionally kind and gave us good tips on the important stuff (such as the best nearby chippy!) One small suggestion I would make is perhaps a fan for the bedroom, because we got quite warm in the night, and the only window we could open was in the ensuite. Overall though, it was exactly what we had wanted and was a really lovely, safe, clean and accommodating home for a break amongst the pandemic madness!
