We loved the attention to detail in the cottage , with the decor and furnishings , and the very private luxurious hot tub ! The garden was great for our border collie to let off steam and perfect for relaxing after long days walking along the coast. A great find!

The animals nearby were fun for the kids and for the adults the hot tub is lovely and secluded. We stayed with two under 5's for a short week.

  • "The property was lovely, clean and cosy."

We enjoyed the use of the hot tub too. It was a nice touch to have the welcome supply of milk and teabags and a few other essentials in the cupboard. My only (very small) criticism would be that there could maybe be a few more items for food preparation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to others already.

  • "We loved our staycation at The Stables."

Whilst holidaying in this country wouldn't normally be our first choice, our staycation, like many others are finding - no doubt, was actually an eye opener as to what we have on our doorstep. The Stables was not only a great home from home, but the location was ideal. Perfectly placed for various visits during the day, and then when home, the surroundings of sheep, horses, chickens etc were fantastic distractions for our young son. We even lucked out on the weather. Glorious sunshine in late September. Perfect for sunbathing on the beach. A very pleasant and enjoyable stay for sure. And we would definitely consider returning.

  • "It was a gorgeous stay, with very little in the terms of flaws."

The view is incredible, and its perfect for a cosy little getaway. The hot tub is also a perfect size and comfortably fits four adults (something you don't find often) Our only comments were when we arrived, the dishwasher was still full with dirty pots from people before, so we had to remove these and wash everything before we could even make a cup of tea. The front door was also broken (seemed to have dropped) and we struggled to shut this properly every time we left the building. The bedroom upstairs could also do with some form of mirror, even a small one, as four people trying to get ready in one mirror downstairs is incredibly difficult. The bathroom, although gorgeous, is incredibly slippy underfoot once wet. Although none of this would deter us from staying again, i feel we would come more prepared next time (bringing own glasses etc). There was only 3 bowls in the kitchen which made breakfast and dessert difficult. A beautiful stay on the whole.

  • "Lovely, clean, well presented property in a good location to explore the coast."

Beds were surprisingly comfotable and decent pillows meant we all slept well. The hot tub was great, if a bit far from the cottage door on very cold November nights. We were disappointed that the garden area wasn't securely fenced in which one would expect from a 'dog friendly' property, meaning we had to walk our dog on the lead round the garden (and ended up picking up other dogs poo!). Also a lack of pans & oven trays made things slightly difficult.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the stables."

It was perfect for us, we wanted a cottage with a hot tub in the middle of no where so this was exactly what we wanted. The cottage itself was very modern but still had some old features. It was very spacious and clean. The hosts were friendly and on call if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Very nice cottage, clean, tidy with almost everything you could need."

One drawback was there were no instructions about waste disposal, one bin liner for three people for one week was insufficient. We did not know what to do once the kitchen bin was full. I’ve always found previous cottages that I’ve stayed in had clear instructions as to waste and recycling.

  • "Absolutely stunning property and location."

The grounds and buildings looked exactly like the pictures, if not better. Inside The Stables also didn’t disappoint. Clean and tidy and well presented to a high spec. The hot tub was a great feature, however, we didn’t bring extra towels so had to use our bathroom towels. It definitely didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves! Also please note there’s no freezer so don’t bring frozen goods. Lots of lovely space for cooking and plenty of fridge and cupboard space. Only a couple of things would make the property even better. Mirrors in the bedrooms or living area, as there was only one mirror in the bathroom which isn’t ideal when there are 4 adults getting ready. Also no hand soap in the bathroom so add this to your shopping list. Overall this is a beautiful place to stay and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Already looking to book again later in the year.
