Our pod was very cold spent our first 2hours of being ther trying to sort a silly wall heater out with the pod holders in our pod our hottub was covered in flies everywhere nd lots of flies in the hottub also was very cold in our pod on a nighttime enjoyed alone time with partner but the pod needs updating nd some heating installed

Sorry you found it cold when you arrived and the inconvenience it caused The weather had been quite changeable over the last few days and has caught us all out. The hot spell we had recently brought a few flies out . I did offer the provision of a blanket and some socks which you declined. There is a very reliable heater on the wall and when switched on is very cosy. Certainly not shorts and T shirt weather at the moment. I also have a no smoking policy in the pod. Property Owner

  • "We were warmly greeted by Mary and John and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and looked after."

Mary brought us freshly picked strawberries which was so nice and also provided helpful information about bus services etc. The pod was so cosy and was equipped with everything you could need. The garden was so private and peaceful, the hot tub was amazing and having a changing room with a, shower and robes supplied was such a nice touch and enhanced our hot tub experience. We had regular visits from a family of cats with the cutest kitten which was lovely. I cannot recommend Lovesome Hill farm highly enough and we plan to return again very soon. Thank you Mary and John, we had a fabulous time.

It has everything you could possibly need and it’s a nice little bonus that there was a shower room next to the Hot Tub. The Hot Tub is just a 5 second walk from the pod and it’s so relaxing, we ended up spending the entire evenings in it looking at the stars

It was exactly as was described and listed on the Sykes cottages website. The hot tub was great and there was everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were easy to communicate with too. Thanks so much!

  • "Nowhere in the listing does it say that you can't use a bbq, the pod doesn't have a oven or a grill so you are expected to cook using noting but a microwave, also nowhere in the listing does it mention that the hottub is attached to a cow shed so the smell of cow manure is almost unbearable."

Not to mention the fact that you allowed to use 1 feaute on the hot tub and are constantly pestered by the hosts wanting to check on the hottub. On arrival home i received a phone call accusing me of staining bathmats with red wine when neither me or my partner drink alcohol fullstop and there was no bath mats in the facility's we used also accused us of wiping our bums on their towels when we brought our own towels and never used their and who would do that anyway. 100% would not recommend avoid at all costs!!

Thank you for your feedback. The marks on the towels and footprints on the couch were brought to my attention by my cleaner so this led to me enquiring more about it. The stain may well have been the cider my apologies!! For health and safety reasons barbeques are not permitted onsite, however I did offer you our garden to barbeque in. Perhaps this is something we will try to provide in the future if we can provide it safely. The hot tub is checked regularly so it is kept clean and safe for guests use. I try to check it when guests go out for the day. This is not always possible. Sorry I had to call to see if it was okay to check the hot tub for the correct chemical and water levels. I’m sorry that your stay didn’t live up to your expectations. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved our stay."

The pod was clean, fresh milk waiting in the fridge. Mary came across to show us how to use the hot tub and suggested a couple of places for a walk which were lovely then we were left to our own devices. Although it’s on a working farm, we couldn’t hear any noise at all. Our only suggestion would be a roof of some sort over the hot tub and a bigger towel rail in the changing area but it wasn’t an issue, even in the rain!

  • "We had a fabulous stay in the pod!"

My only recommendations are, a washing line to hang your towels etc. Some more outside lights as it does get very dark & some hanging space for clothes inside the pod. We know the pod has only been up and running for a few months so your still finding your feet with it, i would recommend this pod to my friends it’s beautiful and a lovely location! Thank you for having us! We loved it! And the tour of the farm was amazing!

  • "Noises and smells near hot tub /pod."

We knew it was a working farm but to be directly on other side of barn wall the aroma was unbareable, in fact at times nauseous.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry if you were unhappy with the location. The pod is located on a working farm and at times there may be associated smells and noises; however, we pride ourselves on running an exceptionally clean farm and have welcomed many happy customers to the farm who love the unspoilt rural location. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your comments and we would love to see you again in the future. Property Owner
