  • "Just back from our weeks holiday."

When we arrived we found a lovely homemade cake and a hamper with tea/coffee/biscuits and jam and milk in the fridge left by the owner Sally who popped round a couple of hours after we arrived to introduce herself and to make sure everything was ok. The cottage is lovely Its a good size perfect for dad as he had room to move around using his rollator with a lovely lounge and a kitchen/diner with plenty of pots etc also has 2 bedrooms downstairs and the bathroom with large walk in shower with plenty of space for my dad's shower chair (we took ours) , upstairs there are 2 more bedrooms and a shower room i would say if you like large towels (bath sheet) take some as the towels provided are bath towels. The cottage is in a quiet little village about 5mins to the nearest Co op in Kirbymoorside and about 10mins away from Pickering and around 30-40 min to the coast. The village pub is very quaint, nice for a drink but the food was a quite expensive (we didn't eat there) . We all had a lovely time and will hopefully return soon .

The cottage was equipped with everything that you could possibly need, and the owner ((Sally) was very helpful in making our holiday even better than we would of done with suggestions of where to go, to see places we probably would have missed. The cottage was clean to a very high standard, and the bedrooms were very spacious. We could not fault this accommodation in any way

  • "Fantastic place to stay, its in a lovely little village."

Central to travel out to Whitby, Scarbourgh, York and close to Pickering and many other little places. Great places to eat in the area, never had a bad meal through out the week. House was very spacious, but was also very homely. A welcome hamper with tea, coffee, sugar, jam and biscuits and a visit from the owner with a cake which was such a lovely thought. Great place and an area which still remains un spoilt. Hope to return soon.
