The property

Storybook Cottage is an enchanted, sandstone property nestled just a mile away from Liverton village, adjoining the owner's home on a hobby farm.

It is set opposite their small caravan and camping site, amidst green countryside, 6 miles from Danby in North Yorkshire.

Originally an old barn, this cottage has been magically converted to provide comfortable family accommodation in a tranquil setting, surrounded by open moorland, with lovely rural views and glimpses of the sea.

Its enchanting interior has been transformed into a fairytale fantasy, with a whimsical staircase of books, brightly coloured furnishings and even a Narnia wardrobe leading to one of the bedrooms!

With a compact, galley-style kitchen, a cosy sitting room with electric woodburner-effect stove and a traditionally styled dining room offering additional comfy seating, this cottage ensures a warm welcome at any time of the year.

Your cottage also offers three spacious bedrooms, all of which boast en-suite facilities.

To the exterior is an enchanted woodland, a children's play area, on-site cafe and the sounds of chickens clucking in the grounds, as well as ponies and goats welcoming you.

The friendly village of Danby is 6 miles from your holiday cottage and is home to attractions such as the Danby Moors Centre, a lovely bakery with tea room and a good local inn, whilst a short drive brings you to the historic fishing port of Whitby with long, sandy beaches, a cobbled market place and a pretty harbour.

The stunning landscape of the North York Moors National Park is a haven for walkers, with a network of footpaths close to this North Yorkshire cottage, whilst the numerous pretty coastal and inland villages are a delight to explore.
