  • "We cannot express enough how happy we were with the cottage and our stay there, it was as advertised, and to be honest the cottage was better in real life, the photos do not do it justice."

Garry the owner gave us a warm welcome and was at hand over the phone if needed, we had a wonderful long weekend in this tranquil cottage in a beautiful setting. thank you Garry it was great and just what we needed.

  • "This was best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in Everything about the cottage and facilities were first class Garry the owner was helpful on our arrival and the bottle of wine was appreciated."

Even though we were there in the heatwave the cottage stayed cool and we had no trouble sleeping Thank you Garry it was great .

  • "We were met by Garry on arrival and shown to the accommodation- a lovely touch was that the heating was on as the June weather was not very kind to us - another kind gesture was the bottle of wine Accommodation was very clean and had everything needed to cook meals ."

The setting is in beautiful countryside and therefore it seemed a shame that the view from our patio door was a wall. When had issue with internet Garry was there quickly to sort . Enough for us to do in the local area for one week , especially with poor weather , we wouldn’t want to be there longer though . Still a lover of Yorkshire and will return to other areas

  • "Had an amazing holiday at Winsall 1 property."

It is a spacious property for 4 and it was well equipped. The host was friendly and helpful. Location was quiet which was what we wanted but close enough so no need to drive for hours for amazing days out. Recommend Flamborough Head, Fraisthorpe Beach and Sewerby Hall, Gardens & Zoo. Will definitely look to book again.

  • "The cottage was very clean and in excellent condition."

Our only complaints are as follows: that the quality and shortage of towels. We went out and bought our own. Lack of instructions for tv and kitchen appliances. Also apart from a tiny amount of very cheap washing up liquid and a bottle of wine there was no welcome pack. We would have expected a few tea bags etc at least. Therefore we cannot give the cottage a 5 star rating.

  • "Had a fabulous time in a beautiful cottage, very spacious and clean."

Just what we needed to get away, with covid. It was so peaceful, owner takes alot of pride in his properties. Bottle of wine and flowers on table were a nice touch. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to anybody wanting some peace and quiet. Still accessible to Bridlington and lots of other places of interest in the area. Restaurants and shops not too far away. One of best stays we have had.

  • "A really lovely cottage a perfect base to visit lots of places."

It is also in a very peaceful and relaxing setting and has a lovely patio area if you wish to sit out and relax in the sunshine to read or doze off. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and explain things in detail on arrival and are always a phone call away if needed but otherwise do not bother you. We will definately revisit again.

Also the way to realise you have arrived is "By the track end is a POSTBOX" NOT a Telephone Box ! !
