“Lovely cottage with outstanding views over the Rye Valley.”

The drive along the one vehicle width road to get to it isn't for the fainthearted though.

Egton 1 mile.

A delightful stone barn conversion one mile from the sleepy village of Egton in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.

Set on the owner's land in a rural location with sweeping panoramic views, this Egton cottage is well placed for exploring both the countryside and the nearby coastal town of Whitby.

Lovingly restored, this Egton cottage has a warm and cosy sitting room with glorious views over the Esk Valley, whilst the galley-style well-equipped kitchen adjoins a spacious dining area.

On the ground floor of this Egton cottage is an attractive double bedroom, whilst upstairs, the twin bedroom has large windows to take in the wonderful scenery.

With a homely feel throughout, this Egton cottage provides comfortable year-round accommodation, whilst outside is a patio area, ideal to sit with a glass of wine to watch the beautiful sunsets.

A twenty-minute walk brings you into the village, with its wide green verges and two excellent local inns, both serving food, whilst walkers are spoilt for choice with the numerous public footpaths in the area.

A few minutes’ drive from this Egton cottage brings you to the popular seaside port of Whitby with its quaint cobbled market square, famous abbey and many good restaurants and tea rooms.

Why not step back in time and take a trip back in time on the steam railway at Grosmont, or visit the Danby Moors Centre?
