The property

Whitby 2.9 miles. Nestled in the charming village of Hawsker, a few miles from the bustling seaside town of Whitby, on the North York Coast is this delightful detached cottage. Dating back over 200 years, this property has been well-maintained and lovingly refurbished into a holiday home for friends or families. Benefitting from some of its original characterful features such as exposed beams and exposed stonework adding to the appeal and charm of the property. Entering the property, a utility area rests towards the front with the added benefits of a washing machine and tumble dryer so you don't have to bring your whole wardrobe with you! Step into the large sitting room, complete with laminate floors and beamed ceilings.

A newly installed wonderful log burner being the main focus in this room is where you can cosy up under a blanket and unwind with a glass of wine in front of the large screen Smart TV. Walk through into the exquisite dining area with seating for up to nine guests, making an excellent spot to dine together.

And there is an added benefit of yet another open fire if you fancy the warm ambience of a cosy flame lit fire The kitchen has been fitted to a high standard with a range of contemporary appliances for cooking up some delicious meals or a hearty breakfast. Follow the steps up to the first floor where two double and one king-size bedroom awaits you.

One of the double bedrooms has its own large on-ensuite (with large shower) and the 2 other bedrooms share the family bathroom (with bath and walk in shower) All the bedrooms have wonderful views of the countryside and normally some kind of farm animal in sight There is another floor into the Large attic bedroom which sleeps 3 and has a double and single bed, this bedroom hosts views across a wide range of the North Yorkshire Moors Each bedroom has been equipped with all the furniture needed for storage purposes and 2 of the bedrooms have a TV on the wall To the rear of the property is an enclosed lawned garden and decking area, and very nice patio seated area.

The whole garden can be a real sun trap during the summer months in the south facing garden and perfect for dining alfresco or simply light up the chimnea and enjoy a refreshing beverage at the sun sets Let your dog run around the immaculate lawn freely, or exit via the gate at the top of the garden and be welcomed into the local dog-friendly pubs beer garden where you can sample some of the local ales. Travel into the centre of Whitby for a large number of popular tourist attractions that are a must-see during your trip. Discover the 199 stone steps, a challenge for even the most sporty individuals to reach the top without stopping! Once conquered, the steps lead towards the stunning Gothic Whitby Abbey, said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, boasting some of the most magnificent views of town and coast. If you're keen on your history, the local Captain Cook Museum is a real treat for discovering more about Cook's voyages. Or venture towards Whitby Beach for enjoying a relaxing afternoon stretched across your beach towels on the golden sands. Enjoy some scenic walking by joining the famous Cinder Track, a disused railway line which leads directly to Robin Hoods Bay and the seaside town of Scarborough. Other scenic trails can be found within striking distance of the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Atlanta is the perfect property for remote holidays to the coast of North Yorkshire.
