  • "Quaint little cottage but in obvious need of a lick of paint and general clean (carpets and suite)."

Good Points: Comfortable beds - the double bed was lovely and my daughter said the same about the single bed she used Lots of hot water and good water pressure Great wifi and tv system Quiet location and you can just about see the sea from the windows Bad Points: Hard pillows Stale smelling bedding Small fridge with just a little freezer section Dodgy table and benches in the kitchen (creaky and wobbly) Microwave had rust inside so chose not to use it We had an issue with the toilet not flushing properly but Ian was there in a flash to resolve the issue. Thank you. He did mention that the bathroom was due an upgrade and this would be done at some point. In a previous review someone had put that the suite of furniture in the living room was uncomfortable, I feel I have to agree with this observation, however, depends how you like to sit to watch tv and I prefer not to be sat straight backed. None of the points listed detracted from our stay away, it is our perception of our time there. when you re away you get on with your time and adapt accordingly. Overall it was adequate for a 3 night break, any longer and you may find yourself feeling "hemmed in". Be mindful that the bathroom is downstairs off the sitting room. Amazing touch leaving wine and biscuits, thank you Zoe and Ian for the kind gesture.

Welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The cottage more than met expectations and the owners, and their pets, were very welcoming and contributed to a really enjoyable holiday.

  • "Had a lovely stay at the cottage however when we went out for long walks we could not relax when we got back as the couch in the front room was so uncomfortable to sit on and we could not relax, this was sad as the rest of the cottage was lovely and the surrounding area."

Would liked to return however not sure wether I would go back for that reason.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it’s very important to me that you have a great holiday experience at Foxhunter Cottage and guest feedback helps me to continually improve the property standards. We always appreciate constructive criticism and look to address any issues raised by our visitors. This is a cottage style suite in very good condition and the seating position can be to individual taste. Property Owner
