Tucked away in the sleepy village of Helperby, you will find this delightful dwelling, The Old Post Office.

As the name suggests, this attractive abode is a wonderfully converted former post office, offering a warm and welcoming base from which to enjoy a relaxing retreat to the North Yorkshire countryside.

As you step inside this charming home-away-from-home, be greeted by a warm and restful sitting room where you can rest and recuperate with your favourite show on the TV, following a fun-filled day exploring the area.

Continue through to the quaint yet well-equipped kitchen and lovingly prepare an evening meal for all to enjoy whilst gathered in the dining room.

Take the evening out into the garden for some post dinner drinks on the patio, before changing into your swimming costumes and indulging in a long soak in the luxurious hot tub.

Freshen up in the bright and airy shower room that rests on the first floor, before grabbing your towel from the heated rail and retiring to one of the three well-appointed bedrooms comprising a super-king, a king-size and a twin.

Start your days with early morning strolls to the neighbouring town of Boroughbridge where you can spot The Devil's Arrows and wander along the banks of the picturesque River Ure.

The town is also home to a number of convenience stores and supermarkets, providing you with ample opportunity to pick up some fresh ingredients ahead of a quiet evening indoors.

See the enchanting ruins of Aldborough Roman Site, or head to Skelton-on-Ure for an afternoon at the grand Georgian dwelling of Newby Hall & Gardens.

Venture into the city of York for a tour of the Gothic York Minster and the National Railway Museum, or visit the popular town of Harrogate for a delicious afternoon tea at one of the many beautiful tea rooms.
