  • "Where to start?"

Booked for 2 but put u up in the room? Bed so low It was barely off the floor! (15inches) Nowhere comfortable to sit, no suitable bowls to use in small microwave, fridge heavily iced up & cobwebs all over the place. Hardly a romantic or luxury property.

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay at Chalet 3: *Easy access to site on arrival with gate code and lockbox *Great quiet location for touring the area, easy access to York, Scarborough, Pickering and Whitby."

*Very clean accommodation and comfy bed. *Just like an ensuite hotel room (N.B. not serviced) but with extras such as crockery, microwave, kettle and toaster. Suggestions: Maybe a toilet paper holder/dispenser and a shelf for toiletries? Thanks.

  • "Lovely little room but quite basic at the same time."

Had to leave early due to excessive noise coming from neighbouring chalet using hot tub past the curfew time and I was not going to put up with it all weekend

  • "A lovely peaceful place to stay, plenty to do within a short driving distance."

Chalet 3 doesn't have a hot tub, which suited us perfectly. The pub only opens on a weekend, so no noise disturbance. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Chelet was on a small site of mainly static caravans."

The staff were very friendly and the site was nice and clean. There is a small bar on site that's only open on the weekend, it didn't appear to serve food. The chalet was basic but nice and clean with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and air fryer. The bed was OK but could benefit from a few more slats! The photos can be misleading as chalet 3 has no outdoor space. The other chalets all have an outdoor space with hot tub. We used the chalet as base camp as was off exploring, so it suited our needs.

  • "Chalet reasonably clean, although there was hair in the bath that I needed to clean out."

Listing misleading - it shows seats and tables - these are at the pub, not the chalet. Fridge is useless, more like a cool box than a fridge. Could hear the noise of the jacuzzi from other chalets. Door really really difficult to lock.

  • "So I booked chalet 3 thinking it had a hot tub as we have stayed at this place previously unfortunately on arriving we soon realised it didnt."

The owner sam helped us change to a different chalet with a hot tub. The barman was also very kind in helping us, as well as making my partners bday special by giving us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The only downside to the chalets is that there arent any cooking facilities and the park would benefit from a bbq/cooking area for those without the facilities, just to help those who dont wish to eat out every night. The area is so nice and we love it, we will definitely be returning.

  • "Chalet was adequate but lack of any outside seating area spoiled our holiday especially as it had been advertised as having a pet friendly garden with pictures of outside seating."

The site pub was closed for the duration of our stay and there was nowhere else in walking distance to visit of an evening. Fridge was useless and housing both microwave and fridge in low cupboards was awkward. Hot tubs and front doors were noisy making sleep difficult in extremely hot weather.

  • "Lovely decorated and comfortable challet ."

Spacious and nice amount of storage. Beautiful decorated outside . Would of liked it more clear that it didn't have stove and oven to cook with and that the fridge isn't large enough to store much and that it doesn't have a freezer When I recieved an email of suggested itinerary list it mentioned bringing oven gloves and dishwasher tablets gave me the impression cooking facilities were avaliable Myself and my husband have severe food allergy we cook for ourselves more than eat out. Was very grateful for the takeaway suggestions that helped alot we collected an Indian takeaway in Maldon delicious. Having a bath and shower avaliable was perfect and thank you for providing hand soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls J cloths and washing up liquid and cutlery plates bowls . The holiday park is very well located with having lots of lovely places near by attractrions ,farmshops and local village Maldon been 20 minute drive away with lovely shops and a really nice tea room . We would love to stay again knowing what we know we can be more prepared. Lovely location and place would stay again. Rebecca Garrigle
