  • "Generally very good accommodation, bathroom needs a bit of updating, radiator was very rusty and it wouldn’t cost much to change this."

There is a jacuzzi bath which I used, it was very vigorous, and after a while I turned it down to a lower setting. In the morning I had bruising on my back with the exact pattern and spacing of the jets. I reported it to reception, and was met with a line of questions that seemed to indicate somehow it was my fault. “Did I lay down” “did I have it on full “ the tone was defensive. Later I was asked to come to reception to complete an incident form, I did and then explained that my morning had been spoiled by the line of questioning earlier, I was then told “no he was just trying to find out the facts”. I would have been quite happy with an apology and someone looking into the situation. I have always thought it’s not what happens it’s how you deal with it, and from a customer service point of view I came away with no resolution only a bad feeling. I f they can reflect and improve, then apart from a little update I would recommend the accommodation.

  • "The check in was good and the reception staff were excellent on the occasions that we spoke to them."

The Forge was as we expected, plenty of room and most facilities. There was enough in the kitchen for us to prepare meals etc. Just enough utensils. The beds were a little hard. The walls were very thin and we heard the next door couple very clearly at times. The en suite for the twin room was a little tight but worked. Unfortunately the wifi internet was down for two days and as there was no, or a very weak, signal it did cause us some issues in looking for where we wanted to go for the day etc. The golf course was fine and very useable for our short game practise. All in all a decent stay and perfect to explore the are and to play on some of the many golf courses there.

The park is beautiful, peaceful and so well kept.

  • "When we arrived the heating was not working."

The weather was very cold and after the maintenance staff had started the boiler and bled the radiators the temperature in the accommodation took about two hours to reach comfortable levels. Our arrival was expected but it appears that proper checks were not carried out before hand. TV reception was very poor. Very few channels worked properly. The jacuzzi in the main bathroom did not work. There was intrusive noise from next door even during normal conversation.

  • "Excellent location for visiting the coast and Beverley."

Site was ideal, enjoyed games of golf and walking round the lake, especially catching glimpses of a kingfisher. Sitting outside our cottage was peaceful and relaxing, no traffic noise just the sound of birds. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The cottage was very spacious and delightfully furnished, loved the beams and the jacuzzi bath A very enjoyable and relaxing week. We will be looking to return and will recommend the cottage and the site

  • "We were very happy and had a very nice stay."

Beds and accommodation very comfortable. The kids liked the play area and there was a nice field for the dog to run around. House was well equipped and nicely furnished. We arrived late and they were very flexible accommodating and even phone the next day to make sure we got in ok. The only things that could be slightly improved are the sound proofing from the other cottage next to the kitchen (insulation) and perhaps a few cobwebs on the beams.
