  • “I understand that everyone’s standards are different , but sadly , the cleanliness was an issue .”

There where cobwebs down the back of the bedside cabinet . I have photos . The shower drain needed cleaning out , the water wouldn’t drain away . The day it rained all day , we thought we would watch a dvd , the player doesn’t work , it freezes and won’t continue . Sadly , the bed was so uncomfortable, we have decided to cut our stay short and go home today (Thursday) . The clothes line in the garden is very dirty and in a bad state of repair ……these are not expensive to replace . The site position is lovely , and we have booked to come back , but in one of the newer cottages …..this one is tired and needs some upgrading .

Broadings Farm Cottages

Resting on the outskirts of the popular resort of Whitby in North Yorkshire is this group of four charming cottages. Boasting distant sea views as well of views of the iconic abbey, Broading Farm Cottages is a collection of four properties offering something for everyone. Two of these properties boast a more traditional feel with character features such as wooden beams and brick fireplaces, while two are much more contemporary with a more minimal style and neutral décor. Three of the four properties are all on the ground floor, making them suitable for those with mobility issues, while the larger property, Whalebone Cottage is suited to a large family, sleeping eight guests. The properties lie just a mile from the centre of Whitby, where you can wander its winding cobbled streets and hidden alleys, discovering a wide selection of eateries, gift shops, restaurants and pubs scattered amongst them. Take a walk along the beach and stop off to enjoy some delicious fish and chips, or go for a swim on a warmer day. Climb the iconic 199 steps to Whitby Abbey and take in the picturesque coastal views from the top.
