  • "The property was not of any kind of standard All the kitchen amenities where filthy ( pictures can be provided) Bathroom also the same The entrance to the apartments had no lighting and was also dirty and often left unlocked The wall in the kitchen literally crumbles when touched."

We had no bedding for the sofa bed or if we did we weren’t told where Shelf was hanging off the wall in the living room ( hazard) We couldn’t cook, eat or wash in the apartment. Parking spaces advertised but for 3 apartments there was space for 1 1/2 cars unless you slept in your car which wouldn’t have been too bad considering. The bed was lovely Long story short we paid over £500 for a storage room as we ended up not being able to use the apartment for most of our stay other than storing our items In

  • "The accommodation was clean and warm."

The location was perfect- two minutes walk to the Spa and no more than five to the harbour. Bedding was clean and the bed, albeit a little low, was very comfortable. The flat is very spacious. I would return if ever I were to visit Bridlington again. And I would recommend it. The price seemed reasonable enough. There was a stepladder in the kitchen - useful. The only way I could reach above the lowest shelf! Another reviewer commented that the supply of drinking glasses is problematic. There was only one wine glass! Come on. This should have been remedied. What seems to have been remedied is the sofa bed. It looked brand new. As someone else has commented, the shower was too hot or too cold - no inbetween. It still is. Oh, and the bathroom door needs attention. It wouldn’t shut. Everything worked in the kitchen but the grill pan needed a. Good scrub. Otherwise, our stay was as good as we’d hoped it would be.

It had lots of stuffing missing and springs sticking out. We ended up having to squeeze 3 people into the double bed and rotate between us who would have to sleep on the sofa. Would not recommend for groups of 3 or 4.

There are things that could be better, but for the price I don't think you could get anywhere better. It's really handy for the beach, town and only a short walk from station. Had a good 10day stay here June 23.

  • "Great location."

Close to the seafront and local amenities, but very quiet. The flat was clean and comfortable - except for the sofa bed, which was uncomfortable to sit on. The kettle randomly switches itself off. A general Information book would be useful (heating, rubbish recycling etc). Saying that, we really enjoyed our holiday in Flat 1 and would happily stay there again.

  • "We have now stayed in this flat 3 times."

We stay here because it is reasonably priced, well located and larger than average for a one bedroom flat. We will probably stay here again for a short break, but there are a few things which really aren't acceptable: 1. The sofa bed in the living room is really uncomfortable. It wouldn't be too expensive to replace . 2. The kettle switches off before water has boiled. You have to stand there holding the switch down! 3. There are just 3 pint glasses in the cupboard. Very difficult to drink wine from. Half a dozen wine glasses or tumblers would cost about £3. 4. There are no instructions as to how to get hot water in the shower. It would be helpful and save time. 5. There appears to be no recycling bin. General rubbish is put into all the bins.

  • "Fantastic flat we have already recommended it to our friends as the location couldn’t be better we parked up & didn’t have to drive all week."

There were a few things I personally think could be cleaner, could do with some proper bowls rather than melamine ones. The shower screen & shower head could do with a proper clean, also the bed settee could do with being replaced as has springs out the bottom. Would of been nice to have a washing machine there’s plenty of room for one. The one court yard was good for drying our towels but could do with being tidied up & the small drain cover as you walk out the back do needs sorting out, cover doesn’t fit properly. Sounds like I’m complaining but there just little things that could be improved, But for the price of the flat we paid for 1 week you couldn’t beat it. We would definitely recommend to anyone would definitely go again.

Sofa bed is not really fit for use anymore springs hanging out of the bottom. The court yard could do with being weeded and perhaps a table and chairs. A washing machine would be a huge plus. A full dinner set needed and glasses some fixtures and fittings beginning to show their age. BUT it is a nice flat we found the double bed very comfortable. We will be going back next year.

The location was excellent - just a few yards from the sea, the Spa and a short walk to the harbour and town centre.. Good restaurant nearby too. But just one complaint - oh please do something about those doors!!!! None of the inner doord fitted properly and the one between the bedroom and the toilet screamed aloud whenever we went to the toilet in the darhest hours of the night, But overall - a happy experience.

We enjoyed our weeks stay mainly due to the position of the flat. There were cobwebs on the bedroom ceiling right over the bed, we brushed these away. At the beginning of our stay, you contacted us to ask if everything was OK. I complained that we only had 1 small wine glass & 4 pint glasses which is not an acceptable selection. You did nothing about this so we purchased new glasses. So much more could be made of this property, the yard area could be made to look so much better in stead of the dumping ground it is covered in weeds. The red sofa as full of old crumbs & food between to cushions, not a standard we expect.

We had to purchase a double airbed to sit on top of the sofa bed which made it more comfortable. However, it was a good size and with 4 of us in it we didn't feel too cramped. The shower was exceptionally good too. The location was fantastic and having a (albeit small) parking space was a godsend. As a last minute deal for half term it was not bad value and we would use it again.

  • "Unfortunatly, after a 2."

5 hour journey our allocated off street parking was taken up by other guests in the top two flats above. This happened on our last booking last year for a flat in the same building however, I agreed to use a car parking permit on that occaision as a family in another flat had extended their holiday. On this occaision rang the owner to point out that our off street parking was occupied, and was told to use the parking permit provided inside the flat. Having pointed out that we only wanted what we had booked and paid for, we were told that the space would be available the next day, In the meantime we had to park 4 streets away in order to find a parking space. On another point, there was no wardrobe in the flat so, we had to hang some of our clothes on the clothes hooks on the back of the bedroom door. On a positive note overall, we enjoyed the holiday and the facilities the flat offered. If the parking issue can be resolved we would stay again.

Was a great base for my husband and I and our 3 month old baby. The rooms are a good size and we felt really comfortable. The only comment I have it that it could of been cleaner. Under the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned, around the outside of the shower was dusty, both the kitchen and bathroom taps hadn’t been wiped and the kitchen drainer had been wiped, for me that’s really basic stuff. Also a washing machine would of been handy. Other than that it was great and I would definitely recommend it.

We had to book alternative accommodation! This property is dirty, the windows look like they have never been cleaned, there are cigarette butts piled up outside the door, the bed is so low that I was unable to sleep on it, went to get the spare quilt but this had stains on it! The shower had not been cleaned and the water doesn't go down because the plug hole must be blocked! There are several other things but too much to mention. Oh and if you feel the cold, wrap up warm as the heating thermostat is broken so no heating!!! If you're looking for a base to stay with minimal comfort then I'd recommend booking!

There were not enough knives and small plates for four persons when we contacted the owner his answer was the previous occupiers must have stolen them sorry for the inconvenience no offer to replace them. The window sills in all the room were full of dust and dead flies, the red sofa was full of food crumbs. The bath room had a mouldy smell which we tracked down to the shower trap which was black with mould and clogged up with hair. There were muddy footprint in the shower and the sink had not been cleaned, such a shame as it was a lovely bathroom. The worse thing was not being able the close the door as it did not fit. The kitchen had a fire exit into the back yard but the gate had a pad lock and no key was supplied. The flat had no information book which we thought was obligatory in Sykes Cottages. We would have left but had friends joining us for a few day so had no choice but to stay and clean not something that I expected to do after many years renting a cottage from Sykes Cottages. If it had been perfect would still not return because of the run down area and the numerous sea gull waking us at 4am in the morning, something that the owners can do nothing about.

Beds and bedding clean. Downside you don't state that there are two fire doors , one from lounge into a passageway then the other leading into the kitchen, neither can be kept open, this was so frustrating as you had to carry food and beverages through both doors from kitchen to dining table in the lounge.(maybe table would be better in Kitchen) The other thing you state is a selection of videos and books available this was not true only five editions of knitting weekly, not everyone's liking!, I rang your officce as I was worried in case you thought we had taken them.
