  • "We had a wonderful stay, lovely homely stay and perfect location."

Only thing we would say to improve is to renew the kitchen cooking items (pots and pans etc), loved having the open fire and host was very responsive to messages. Thank you

Parking space was also very helpful addition not provided by some properties in the village. Only negative are the check in and check out times - would be great to be a couple of hours earlier / later respectively. Certainly would have made the for a more relaxing stay.

Good supply of hand-wash, toilets rolls, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products Bedrooms and bathroom lovely and clean Certain areas of the kitchen were not as clean which was a shame, microwave, inside the oven and the kitchen drawer utensils. Also the Dyson hoover did not work, and the one we found in the cupboard was not suitable, so we had to use our own. (we always have a hoover in the car for emergencys with having 3 dogs). Thank you to the owner for a welcome basket of biscuits and wine which was very kind. It is very conveniently placed in a cul-de-sac right near the main street, with shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. We enjoyed some lovely walks around Haworth where there is plenty to do and we also drove to Skipton, Malham and Settle which are all within easy reach.

Lovely log burner, modern kitchen, with appliances, and outdoor space. Plenty of storage in main bedroom. lovely modern bathroom. Lots of games for a rainy day, and excellent information file in cottage. Lovely welcome pack was a bonus. Needs a teapot though, but that’s my only, very small, complaint. • "A wonderful holiday home for a family in the heart of Haworth."

Very clean, and well presented. Things that we would have liked: - There is no teapot in the house (that we could find). There is plenty of teabags, but a proper pot for brewing tea - and a cosy - would have suited us. The coffee provisions and equipment was excellent - we just prefer tea! - Having only one bathroom meant juggling timing. Ideally a holiday home for us would have at least a cloakroom on the ground floor. However, neither of the above observations spoilt our holiday and we would have no hesitation to rent the property again.

many thanks for your kind words, will ensure we get a tea pot and cosy for your next visit Andy Property Owner

The property was in a quiet cul de sac but only a minutes walk to the main high street with all its facilities. Good selection of shops, cafes and pubs to suit everyone! Lots of beautiful walks from the village and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area . The small back patio was a suntrap and fully enclosed so both private and safe for dogs or small children. Good selection of books, games and DVDs so plenty to keep you entertained if the weather is bad!! Would stay at this cottage again as it had everything we needed and the countryside is truly spectacular.

The beds were so comfortable I wished we could take them home! Wifi worked well, and it was great to have Netflix included in TV package. The only slight issue was the positioning of the microwave which was above the oven and difficult to use - we felt it would be better in the kitchen worktop? We would definitely stay here again.

  • "We really loved our stay."

The cottage is just off Haworth’s Main Street which is full of gorgeous cafes, pubs and lovely little shops. We had so many great outings from being based in Haworth, from a day trip to York, the Lake District and lots of walks around the Yorkshire Dales. We adored our Brontë walk up to Top Withins on the Haworth Moor. The cottage is spacious, comfy and welcoming. Loved the little touches like the complimentary local gin and tonics! It was beautifully clean. The most well equipped place I’ve ever stayed! We weren’t missing any kitchen equipment, and they even had salt, pepper, oil etc. Really comfy sofa and bed. The patio was handy but it did rain everyday we were there so didn’t get too much use!!! We took our dogs (Dachshunds) and they adored it - it was just perfect for them! Highly recommend to all - a great location to stay and explore around, and really lovely accommodation!

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
