  • "We had a wonderful time at Hornsea Terrace, had a little hiccup that was finally sorted by the owner on Monday morning."

The position of the house is very central and convenient. The only issue we had was the many stairs up to the loo and bedrooms which were a bit of an issue for a 91 year old and myself with disabilities. Having said that the house is stunning, beautifully decorated and a great kitchen with absolutely everything you need.

  • "Had a great stay in Horsea."

Very well equipped holiday property with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Lots of space for us and direct access to the rear garden a plus. Very well positioned in the town for all hornsea has to offer. Be careful of the timed parking out front, plenty of space round the corner unregulated. Thank you for our stay.

  • "The property is absolutely gorgeous."

It’s a lovely size and very well equipped. The decor was outstanding. The beds were the comfiest we’ve been, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We would have liked a hairdryer and a welcome pack would have been appreciated but it wasn’t an issue as the co-op is directly opposite the property so we could get milk etc. Unfortunately the microwave had been put in a cupboard as it had a broken turntable and we did miss using it. Apart from that it was an outstanding property and we will definitely return.

  • "We had a great time - this was our third visit here."

The weather wasn’t brilliant but we found plenty to do and the kitchen area was a comfortable place to sit together with space for the children to play as well. Found things to do in the area to keep dry - the Cold War Bunker near Withernsea was a great experience. Honeysuckle Farm is always good fun. Swimming in the hub and the monthly cinema club at the Floral Hall kept us busy. House is in a great spot with lots of eating places locally. Loading and unloading not a problem and we always found somewhere to park nearby. A great week.

Very central for all amenities in Hornsea, there are a number of car parks you can use on the same road. The owners made our Christmas stay very special with lovely decorations and a Christmas tree. Would definitely return and recommend to others

Excellent facilities, beautifully decorated and wonderfully relaxing. Very spacious, yet cosy with comfy beds, ample fluffy towels and well stocked kitchen. We love this home from home right in the centre of Hornsea. Delightful stay.

  • "Lovely property with excellent presentation in a good location with the shops and bars and restaurants on the same road and the co-op over the road so handy!"

A few points for the owner - the bathroom soap dispenser and air freshener were empty on arrival. There are 2 nails sticking up from the floor in the doorway of the front room from the hallway and the cupboard under the sink needs tightening as coming away. Very minor things that can be rectified in minutes. Loved staying there and really didn’t want to leave, the towels were lovely and the bed very comfy. Loved the fridge and wine cooler! We would definitely come back Thank you xx

This was our second visit to the property and we were again not disappointed. It was great to have cushions for the garden furniture; a good place to relax. We plan to visit again next year - so can’t praise move than that!

Great location, lovely home, well furnished with comfortable range of seating. Very well equipped with quality furnishings and accessories. We have rebooked already and having visited multiple properties in Hornsea we would highly recommend this property for all group types. Please don’t be put off by lack of designated parking as this is easily available nearby.

Everything is on your doorstep and parking was easy to find. My only issue would be having to strip all the beds when leaving, we’ve stayed in numerous properties over the years and never had to do that! However still a fantastic property

  • "A lovely property and just what we needed for 3 generations to stay in when going to a family wedding."

We booked at the last minute having been let down by our original booking, however think this was a far better property. We plan to come back again and explore the local area even more. Our 3 year old daughter loved that there was a selection of books and games. It was very well equipped.

The owner has been paid 15 pounds to send it back, but refuses to do so. This poisons the memory I have of this property and makes sure I will not recommend it to anyone else.

  • "A wonderful place to stay!"

The house was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, and very well catered for. Brilliant location, everything you needed nearby. Just over ten minutes walk to the beach, and a park almost opposite the property. Despite being on the main street opposite the co-op (which was very handy for shopping, plus a short drive away there’s a large Tesco), we couldn’t hear any noise at all from the road, despite sleeping in the bedroom that overlooked the High Street. Really spacious open plan downstairs, which was ideal for our toddler and dog, who both very much enjoyed the outdoor space on the sunny days we had. The host couldn’t have been more helpful, both with the information left at the property, and the direct contact we had whilst staying. Before our stay we were a little concerned after reading there wasn’t any allotted parking at the property. However we had no problems at all, despite bringing two large cars. There is street parking outside the house you can stay in for up to an hour, which is ideal for unloading upon arrival/packing up to go home. The host was able to advise where we could park nearby during our stay. We had no issues at all, despite it being the Easter holidays when we were staying. We intend for this to be our new regular place to stay for family holidays and are about to book a return trip for later in summer!

  • "We had a lovely stay at Hornsea Terrace."

The weather wasn’t too kind to us but nevertheless we enjoyed the holiday. The house was cosy and warm. We used the log burner in the kitchen ( which was out of order when booking but now in working order) and the gas fire in the lounge. Beautiful and clean and nice tidy garden. Ideal for sitting out when the sun shines. Hornsea is a beautiful unspoilt small town on the coast with plenty of attractions close by. Plenty of shops, pubs and cafes on the doorstep. We will be back. Thank you Jane and Ken

The layout of the property is perfect for a family getaway. We had 5 adults, a toddler and a dog and there was plenty of space for us all. The decor of the house is so stylish and had a real luxury feel. The kitchen was enjoyable to cook in and all the facilities were good. The beds and chairs were all comfy. The area has lots to offer. Walking distance to; beach, park, pub, cafe, charity shops, and food shops. We all had a wonderful holiday. Thank you.

  • "What a fabulous house for a family get together."

Beautifully clean everywhere. Roomy kitchen & seating for lounging about catching up on news. Heating seems to need override couple of times during day, but house did get warm enough for us, & we had Storm Malik blowing around us. On my holiday I like to sit in bed & read. A previous review complained of no bedside lamps in master bedroom, but image 17 clearly shows drum lamps on the bedside tables so felt reassured. Turns out there are no sockets anywhere near, & those lamps are stored down in understairs cupboard .. . . . the middle bedroom does have a lamp, but only a net curtain, so undress in the dark & be woken at dawn there. Other rooms were ok, with window blinds, & all have lovely comfortable beds with warm quilts. Fantastic high tides crashing over the promenade provided wonderful photo opportunities, & we were fortunate to see a pup seal released back to the sea by Marine Mammal Rescue at Spurn point. We would stay at Hornsea Terrace again.

  • "We came as a team of ladies from the church community to combine our team meeting with an on-line weekend conference."

With big TV linked to our laptop, good internet connection, comfy sofas, lots of cushions and blankets, amazing decor, fire in the fireplace, kitchen big enough to accommodate 6 chefs :-) and comfy beds we had a very special time of praying, learning, making plans and building relations. Possible minutes: 1. Heating - we had a problem at the beginning but the owners got back to us really quickly after we sent them the text and problem was mainly resolved. But it’s a big house and it took a long time to warm up and some of the bedrooms hasn’t warmed up throughout our stay enough to liking of some of our party members. 2. Parking - pay attention on the restrictions of parking in front of the house - times + the bay straight in front of the house is a taxi rank - not very clearly marked 3. Just one toilet/ bathroom - it wasn’t a problem for us, but we had to be good at communicating who is using it and for how long 3. Some “smaller facilities” problems - we didn’t find all instructions about how to operate some of the appliances + some of the bedrooms lacked lamps and power points to charge your phones next to beds - would providing extension leads work? Best points: 1. BEAUTIFUL spacious property with nice, good for relaxing and socialising backyard giving you the feeling of luxury 2. Clean and well looked after and owners easily contactable 3. Coop with very long opening hours just across the street with selection of other budget shops just meters away. 4. Just minutes walk to the beach as well as the mere. We loved it and would definitely recommend

Hi Anna Thank you for choosing Hornsea Terrace and giving us such a lovely review. We are sorry to hear that you where disappointed with the lack of bedside lamps in the main bedroom. This problem has now been rectified and lamps are in situ. When we purchased the house middle of last year, most of the appliances were included. Unfortunately no instructions where left. I will look into printing some off the internet but in time we will be looking at replacing different appliances which will come with new instructions. Kind regards Kev and Jo Property Owner
