  • “Nice house. Good location. Garden ...”
Nice house. Good location. Garden is enclosed and secure for the dog (English Bull Terrier) which meant we didn't have to worry about her when she went into the garden.

The property

This lovely modern mews-style, link-detached property is superbly placed, just a two minute walk into the centre of Hornsea seaside town.

Ideal for families, it is tastefully furnished throughout in a contemporary style, offering a bright and cheerful sitting room, with comfortable sofas and a cosy living flame gas fire for cooler evenings.

The kitchen incorporates the dining area, while upstairs, the three bedrooms offer good flexibility to suit all needs, including the king-size bedroom benefiting from an en-suite shower room.

Outside, there is an enclosed and sheltered courtyard garden - a sunny spot to sit and enjoy a morning coffee before heading off for the day.

With the added benefit of off road parking, guests are able to leave their car behind and stroll into the town centre with its good array of independent shops, quaint tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

A 10 minute walk brings you to the sea front, with wide sandy beaches and a long promenade with well-kept ornamental gardens.

Be sure to visit Hornsea Mere, a five minute walk away, which is the largest natural glacial lake in Yorkshire and hosts watersports and boat trips, whilst for a little retail therapy, try Hornsea Freeport shopping centre.

A trip to the RSPB reserve Bempton Cliffs is a must, especially in July and August when the puffins are resident, or enjoy bracing cliff top walks at nearby Flamborough Head.

For a rainy day, an hour’s drive to The Deep Submarium on the Humber Estuary will be a big hit for all the family, or head off into the wonderful rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, where Hockney took his inspiration from for his famous paintings.

An excellent base for a varied and fun filled holiday.
