“The only thing is that has altered since we were there two years ago is that they have stoned the back garden.”

It looks very nice and tidy but people with children to play out there might not think it suitable.

The property

This charming, end-terrace, whitewashed cottage is in a quiet residential street, close to the centre of the coastal resort of Hornsea.

Well-placed for enjoying both a traditional seaside holiday and exploring the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, the property has been attractively refurbished to a high standard.

It has a well-equipped, bright and modern kitchen, with a door opening onto the small, sheltered rear garden.

The sitting room is warm and welcoming with comfortable furnishings, which create a homely feel and stairs from the sitting room lead up to two pretty bedrooms and the family bathroom.

With the added benefit of off road parking, guests are able to leave their car behind, as a five minute walk brings you to the town centre with a good array of independent shops, quaint tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

With wide sandy beaches and a long promenade with ornamental gardens, Hornsea has much to offer.

Nearby, Hornsea Mere is the largest natural glacial lake in Yorkshire and hosts watersports and boat trips, whilst for a little retail therapy, try Hornsea Freeport shopping centre.

A trip to the RSPB reserve Bempton Cliffs is a must, especially in July and August when the puffins are resident!

Enjoy a bracing cliff top walk at Flamborough Head or take an hour’s drive to The Deep Submarium on the Humber Estuary.

With many attractions in this lovely area, you are sure of a memorable holiday.
