The property

Resting in a peaceful position with the sandy shores of Hornsea Beach right on its doorstep, The Ticket Office is a characterful cottage offering an idyllic base from which to tour the magnificent East Riding of Yorkshire.

Make yourself feel right at home in this beautiful Grade II listed red brick building; the old Hornsea Town railway station which served the seaside town and ran for over a hundred years until 1964.

Rustle up a tasty treat in the contemporary kitchen/diner with the help of the many appliances that lie within, before taking your seats at the chic black table and indulging in your mouth-watering creations.

Continue through to the spacious living/dining room, beautifully decorated with calming neutral tones and an inviting cream sofa that rests in front of a sleek flat-screen TV.

A few steps away, large patio doors lead out into a wonderful enclosed garden with a pretty bistro set, providing a tranquil space to enjoy your morning cup of coffee as you listen to the sounds of splashing waves from the sea, or make use of the barbecue for a spot of alfresco dining in the warmer months.

Back inside, a smart fully-tiled bathroom completes the ground floor and boasts a roomy tub and overhead shower, allowing you to choose how to best prepare for the day ahead.

Up on the first floor you will find three restful bedrooms - a king size double, a twin and a single, all exuding light from the gorgeous Velux windows and providing ample sleeping space for a family or group of five.

With the beach just 240 metres away, kick-start your days with a stroll to the bustling South Promenade, tucking into a delicious portion of fish and chips from the Sea Front Chippy, before descending onto the sands of Hornsea Beach to bask in the sunshine.

See Coastguards Cottage and stroll along the banks of Hornsea Mere, or visit Bugtopia Hornsea for an animal encounter like never before.

Embark on a scenic hike along the Trans Pennine Trail Gateway towards the Port City of Hull, home to a plethora of stores and well-established restaurants, as well as attractions such as The National Trust owned Maister House, the Street Life Museum and Hull and East Riding Museum.

Spot the picturesque Skidby Mill or stop by Skipsea to explore the English Heritage site of Skipsea Castle.

Those travelling with children will relish in a fun-filled day out at William's Den and Bridlington Animal Park, whilst outdoor enthusiasts should be sure to delight in a spot of birdwatching on the RSPB Bempton Cliffs that line the Flamborough Headline Heritage Coast.

Live many happy moments with your nearest and dearest on a stay at The Ticket Office.
