This pleasant, detached property sits between the villages of Sutton-on-the-Forest and Huby, within close reach of the scenic Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Set over two floors and sleeping up to eight guests, Duncanfield is a lovely retreat for families and groups of friends looking to getaway from normality and experience the scenic splendour of Yorkshire.

After a day of rambling, look forward to unwinding in the lounge, offering plush seating where you can kick back and enjoy the company of each other, or switch on the TV and pick out a good movie.

The kitchen comes well-appointed with all you could need for a short break, so dust off those cooking books and impress the rest of the group with a fine meal, to be served in the refreshing dining/sun room.

Retreat to either of the four bedrooms, including one on the ground-floor and three upstairs, served by a gleaming bathroom where you can round off the evening with a lovely soak.

To the exterior of Duncanfield lies a lovely garden patio with table and chairs, encouraging alfresco dining on a warm evening, or simply relax with a refreshing drink as you ponder where to visit next.

Get to know your surroundings better as you embark on a local bike trail, or for a more leisurely day out, visit Harewood House, a superb Grade I listed building which houses an exotic bird garden.

Pop on your walking boots and stroll through the tranquil Riverside Park, or for more varied terrain, explore the rocks and moorland of Chevin Forest Park which provides fantastic views of the town and the picturesque countryside that surrounds Otley.

For some sightseeing, head to the city of York and visit the 13th century Clifford’s Tower, and afterwards keep going to York Castle Museum set around a recreated Victorian street.

There’s also a great selection of unique cafés and well-established restaurants to refuel at, along with a host of quaint shops both local and high street to browse.
