  • "Beautiful decor and a really welcoming environment - the pattiseries were amazing, thank you!"

We and the dog really appreciated the secure back garden which seemed to have sun most of the time. However, I couldn't bolt it from the inside as suggested as the bolts don't align. Some great books and board games provided. They neighbours we bumped into were both very friendly to us. So lovely to be able to.stay in.such a nice place in an interesting village, so near to the sea. Thank you for allowing a 4 night stay in August. My daughter and I really appreciated the short break. 4 for comfort as some of the pillows have the give of a fully inflated tyre

  • "We spent 7 days in Rosie Cottage and loved it."

We are comparing our current accommodation with Rosie Cottage which says a lot. A beautiful character cottage with absolutely everything we could ever want. The shower drain however needed attention. The shower was slow to drain and I lifted the cover and was filled with hair. Cleaning required to maintain this beautiful home.

  • "Cottage was lovely and as described what let this cottage down was the lack of cleaning done before we arrived ."

Drips down the front of the bin ,table had all crumbs left on it and dog hair was everywhere ,wet mop left smelling in a cupboard and unfortunately on the last day we discovered mouldy food left in the microwave.im glad to say we still had a lovely time in hunmanby but definitely need to upgrade the cleaning at this property .

Thank you for highlighting the poor cleaning. We have bought this to the attention of the cleaning company along with a copy of your review so they can rectify their methods. Kind regards Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Rosie cottage."

Keep reading for all the pros! There were a few minor things we wanted to inform you of. These are not to be interpreted as negatives, just a few things that would have made our stay perfect. When we arrived, the filter coffee machine had an old, used filter in, so we didn’t use this. The cleaners need to ensure they’re checking this. The lounge needs a coffee table. We saw others had said this in reviews, but unfortunately the issue had not yet been sorted. The baskets used as side tables looked lovely, but not practical. One of the baskets was broken so the lid kept falling in. So just wasn’t appropriate for drinks to stand on. There were some dirty splashes on the lounge wall near the door, either from a dog shaking or a spilt drink. It was quite noticeable so I’m surprised the cleaning team didn’t see it. To match the high standards that run through the cottage, some better quality toilet roll would be good. Some sort of caddy on the wall in the shower to hold items would also be useful. Also - black out blinds in the bedrooms would stop the glaring street light from illuminating the rooms all night long. Other than that, everything was great. The beds were so comfy, lovely bedding, beautiful cottage garden, all the kitchen bits and bobs we could have dreamed of, again, all high quality items. Netflix was logged in so we could cosy down and watch some films. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

  • "The pros first."

Beautiful large bedrooms with spotless bedding and lots of storage. Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the flowers and birds. Kitchen well stocked with everything you require. We managed to park opposite the cottage each night. Now the cons. This property is definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. Steep steps all over - inside and out. The lounge is not equipped for more than two people comfortably and needs a coffee table. The shower needs a good spring clean.

The facilities were good, location to other areas was good. The local peaple were so friendly and inviting. If I could move to the area I would. We would definitely rebook next year. The little touches like the hampers were nice too. Remmy our dog loved the enclosed back garden.

  • "Lovely cottage in a great situation."

It was very comfortable and had just about everything you would need. I would have liked a clock in the living room and a full length mirror somewhere, but appreciate that these are not essentials. I may be stupid but could not find the dishwasher listed in the amenities and there is a definite technique required for the door lock. We were lucky in that we got parked reasonably close to the cottage daily. Understand why the double yellows outside on the corner, but at another time it could be a bit of a walk. The church bells have a mixed reaction. I got used to them but less so my wife. The real plus points were the welcome packs when we arrived. A selection of Yorkshire goodies and another one with tea, coffee and biscuits were such a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again when in the area

Thank you for the feedback, we hope you can stay again another time. Best regards. Property Owner

  • "Superb cottage."

I am not sure if in the details of the cottage that there is mention of not really being suitable for anyone disabled. There are two very deep steps at the front door, steps inside from the dining room to the kitchen. The stairs are quite steep and the step coming out of the bedrooms is quite difficult to manage if you are disabled.
