"We had a lovely holiday at Sycamore Cottage, great wee village, lots of beautiful walks, and many places to visit in the surrounding area including great farm shops and cafes."
Could not have wished for a better relaxing holiday. The only one negative and this is absolutely no reflection on the cottage, was a meal we had at one of the local pubs. If it was me, I would not be recommending it in my welcome book. We will definitely return! Thank you for providing an excellent base for our holiday.
"Such a lovely house in a lovley location."
Definitely would stay again and recommend to others.
"A lovely property in a great setting."
We received a warm welcome from the owner. The décor of the house was modern and cheerful. Although it was February the house was warm and comfortable. We know the area but still found new things to see and do.The walking is good , a leisure centre near by and a good variety of eating places.
"A beautiful house inside and out."
It has everything you need. Its comfortable and cosy. It has lovely views all round. It is so peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended.
"Fabulous holiday cottage."
Everything has been thought about. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great place to stay for a group of friends. Lovely village with 3 pubs all within walking distance (1 was closed) Very friendly and helpful host- thank you. Would definitely return
"A spacious, warm, extremely well equipped property."
Very relaxing feel, and everything has been thought of. The owners are great and very helpful.
"Great accommodation and super helpful hosts."
"Fab cottage done to a really high standard, great location, good pubs locally for food and live music, excellent walking country, and easy access to beaches (30-40 mins)."
Only marked it down as the master en-suite was a shower behind a wardrobe, so 1 upstairs toilet & sink for large family had to be managed.... There was room for a toilet and sink, and the drainage would work too.
"The en suite in the main bedroom is only a shower, no basin or toilet, only a slight problem."
Thank you for your feedback. We do state it is shower only but we have now updated to clearly show this. We do hope you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards Property Owner
Lovely owners who met us on arrival to explain a few bits and give directions on best places to walk our girls. No complaints from us, we all enjoyed our stay.
"Sycamore Cottage is very well equipped and extremely comfortable."
We were delighted to discover that there was a dishwasher at the property although we didn't see this in the listing when we booked. The house is modern and all the equipment and furnishings of good quality. The kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and helpful. Hutton Rudby is a delightful village and not far from the coast and the moors. An ideal location. Fabulous holiday and Sycamore Cottage highly recommended.
"Sycamore Cottage lived up to our expectations."
Clean, spacious and well equipped. There are plenty of places to visit. Fantastic countryside but only sixteen miles away from the sea.
"We booked the cottage knowing nothing about the area and what a beautiful spot it is."
In a lovely village, surrounded by beautiful countryside. From the elevated position, views from the rear decking are of trees and in the distance, the moorland hills. The house is spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and modern with large windows to maximise the views. The owners live close by and are on hand if you need anything. It’s not too far to drive to the coast and very close to Moorland walks and villages. There are a couple of pubs very close by and a large Spar store. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
"No criticisms whatsoever, the cottage was everything we hoped for and more."
The property is new and finished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need for a nice relaxing stay. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to help us. Nothing was too much bother. We have already booked to go back again and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay look forward to staying again later in the year.
"I booked cottage from Sykes before was not really good."

"Sycamore cottage was a lovely cottage."
very clean and comfortable. Lots of space. had everything we needed. nice and peaceful in lovely surroundings. The owners were nice and helpful if we needed them. We would like to visit again soon.
"This is a lovely well presented holiday cottage."
The owners who live on site are really friendly and helpful. On our last morning there was a village wide power cut and the owners contacted us first thing to make us aware and even dropped off a thermos of boiling water so we could have that essential first coffee of the day - now that is service and it was much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in booking this accommodation again and would recommend it to family and friends.
"Property was as described and it was apparent the owners had taken care in cleaning the property to a high standard."
The property was well presented and was suitable for a large mixed age family. Great location for exploring all that the North East and North Yorkshire has to offer.
