“This is an attractive cottage, centrally placed in Hutton-le-hole but private nevertheless.”
It combines practicality with interest (fascinating ‘dip-in’ books, magazines, DVDs etc.) and aesthetics (calming pictures, heart decorations, outdoor potted plants, sheep theme items mirroring the real ones outside etc.).
When I arrived there was tea & coffee available – and the wine especially was most welcome.
Milk, although possibly logistically difficult, would have been helpful, especially as the local shop is currently out of action.
There was all one would need, in good working order, although I could not regulate the shower water temperature.
The back garden was lovely and has great potential.
I would be interested to see how it develops: the pergola, which could be accessed by stepping stones, would provide a lovely sitting area overlooking the beck and I think it would be a good idea to cut back the ivy, hawthorn and especially the elder trees on the left.
Walks into the country and onto the moors are accessible directly from the cottage. Pretty towns, villages and of course the coast, are also easily reached.
I certainly hope to return.
