  • "We wanted somewhere isolated and this is that."

The cottage next door was empty while we were there so we sat outside of an evening with a glass of wine, watching deer, hare, rabbit etc in the quiet. There's a great town for food and drink 12 minutes drive away though. Didnt want to leave

  • "A hidden gem near the Howardian Hills."

This lovely cottage just outside the Howardian Hills gave us the relaxing break we didn’t know we needed. The photos don’t do it justice! It is beautifully furnished, well-equipped, and quietly charming. Our dog adored the secure garden, and we could easily have spent a whole week just pottering about the cottage and walking the surrounding fields. That said, we did enjoy day trips to Beningbrough, Nunnington, and York, with peaceful walks around Kirkham Abbey and Castle Howard all close by. Idyllic, tucked-away, and perfectly placed. We left rested, recharged, and already planning a return.
