  • "Fantastic place and setting would highly recommend to family and friends."

Superb hosts and friendly family pets made us feel welcomed! Place was spotless and we felt right at home here. Only suggestion would be to have a few extra of crockery, mugs, glasses, cutlery so not having to wash up so often. Hot tub was awesome and extremely well maintained for cleanliness and hygiene. Beautiful garden, we felt like we were in Spain! A perfect stay in a perfect location.

Lovely cottage situated on a great setting in the countryside. Beautifully decorated. Very comfy beds! Great location, only a 10 minute drive to Scarborough. Hot tub was great, kids loved it. Had a minor issue with hot tub during stay, text owners and they were there in 10 minutes and sorted it. Excellent!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

  • "Great rural location but at the same time is only a short drive to various places to visit."

Clean on arrival, welcome pack and starter pack for fire included. Owners are on site if any issues but aren't in any way intrusive. Hot tub was bigger than we expected and was a real luxury after lots of walking. Log burner makes it very cosy and was just the right size for the size of the room. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and the kitchen has a good supply of utensils etc. We will definitely be returning. We have a lot of short cottage breaks and this was one of the best!

  • "We had a great holiday at The Pheasantry."

The weather was great. The cottage is delightful. The hot tub was a real treat and used daily. The only downside was that we didn’t book two weeks! We would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay near Scarborough. We will be recommending it to our friends and we would definitely book this cottage again. The hosts were lovely too. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

  • "This was a lovely cottage full of furnishings of a beautiful standard."

The beds might be a little firm for some but we were all very comfortable on them. A few suggestions for future consideration would be an indoor sweeping brush, replacement airer as there are parts missing from the current one, access to a washing machine and a small freezer. Please note that this did not distract the enjoyment of our holiday at all but would've been useful. Being in the country it was a great base to explore the Yorkshire Coast so we filled our days visiting the surrounding coastline and pretty inland villages. Although the owners live next door they are respectful of the holiday cottages privacy but on hand should you need assistance. I would highly recommend The Pheasantry at Riggs Head Farm, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you for a lovely holiday.

  • "The Pheasantry was absolutely beautiful!"

Modern with a vintage look to it. The owners (Steph and Nick) were very nice and were quick to help you if you had any enquires. They also provided us with some free chocolate chip cookies on arrival ;) The location was out of the way and very relaxing, however, it was still easy to access the nearby shops. The only two things I can comment on negatively is that when arriving at the cottage, I looked in the plug hole of the shower and it was full of someone else’s hair. The other thing is that they do not provide you with a washing machine which would of been really handy but wasn’t a major problem. I know the owners get in a cleaner to clean these holiday homes so this is not their fault but the cleaners. We really really enjoyed our stay here and I would defiantly recommended to families and couples who want a nice stay.
