The property

Inside, you will be welcomed by a small but stylish dining area where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and plan the day’s events.

From here, find the kitchen area covering the necessities for a cup of tea and a light bite on the electric stove, as well as the handy combi microwave.

Next is the plush double bed, inviting you to rest after a long day of exploring the local area, while cuddling up in front of the roaring woodburning stove and watching the smart TV.

The property also has a shower room, WC and basin so you can prepare for the day ahead within the space.

Moving outside to the impressive garden space, offering garden furniture and a firepit on the gravelled area where you can relax with a glass of wine or a good book.

There is fishing at the Risby Park Fishing Ponds for the avid fishers where you can stop for a spot of lunch in their Folly Lake Café.

If you don’t fancy cooking one evening, why not head out to one of the local restaurants such as Lazaat or The Millhouse Restaurant both are just a short walk away from the property.

The Millhouse Restaurant offers delicious meals and boasts a rooftop lounge to enjoy an afternoon tea.

Cottingham is also home to a weekly market on Thursdays, where you can buy fresh food, locally made goods and explore the beautiful village shops, pubs and cafes while you are there.

Slightly further afield is the market town of Beverley, hosting twice weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays for more local goods and produce while discovering even more scenic walks and pretty architecture.

Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the nearby Museum of East Riding Rural Life.

The pretty village of Cottingham lies in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to the north of Kingston upon Hull and only a few miles from the pretty market town of Beverley. Cottingham has a small high street with a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, with yet more good eateries to be found in the villages dotted around the surrounding countryside. Cottingham is within easy reach of the pretty coastal resorts of Hornsea, Bridlington and Filey, but also stands on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and is an hour's drive from York. The shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema and museums of Kingston upon Hull are easily accessed from Cottingham, including The Deep, the nationally renowned ‘submarium’ with its shark walk and riverfront location.
