The property

Bramble Cottage is a cosy terraced cottage, tucked away, yet within a stone's throw of the delightful market town of Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire.

This lovely cottage is the ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Dating back to the mid-19th century, the cottage used to be a shop and the sitting room still has the original shop front window!

The cottage is full of character including beams, latch doors and a stone-flagged floor in the traditional kitchen.

Whatever the season the woodburner will appeal to everyone and provide a timeless comfort particularly after a hearty walk in the stunning North Yorkshire moors.

The bathroom provides an indulgent freestanding roll-top bath just designed to induce sleep before a great night's rest in the king-size bed.

The area has a charm of its own from the stunning scenery and quaint mellow stone villages to the beautiful Yorkshire coastline and the nostalgia of Heartbeat film locations.

Kirkbymoorside is often described as the gateway to the moors, and the ideal way to appreciate the beauty of the moors is to take the steam train from Pickering to Whitby, an absolutely unforgettable experience!

The neighbouring market towns of Pickering, Malton and Helmsley are individual gems providing superb dining and hearty Yorkshire fayre, excellent local shops and boutiques and history galore including castles and fine architecture.

For a fascinating day out, why not visit The National Centre for Birds of Prey at Duncombe Park estate and then end the day at Helmsley for a sumptuous dinner?
