  • "We love this cottage!"

Definitely recommend staying here to friends and family. Ideal base for visiting many different villages and towns. Great little stroll into Kirbymoorside town too which has lots of places to eat in or buy take out from. The cottage has everything you need even teabags for the tea drinkers. Our sighthound settled in very quickly she was a bit too nosy through the gap at the bottom of the gate with her pointy nose

Welcome pack, immaculate condition, comfy bed and furniture, well stocked with almost everything we needed. Parking right outside the door. High Street five minutes walk. Good security.. Smart TV which actually worked. Broadband was super fast and never a glitch. We had a lovely week's holiday and that was in great part because of Corner Cottage, so a big thank you to Sharon and Les

  • "We had a lovely stay at the Corner Cottage."

The welcome pack was really appreciated. The one minor fault was the bed as we both are 5ft 8 inches and we found the bed length restrictive. Other than that we found it to be an excellent property and we would recommend it .

The bed is a standard double bed with head and foot boards as shown in the photographs. Property Owner

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything you would ever need to use in its kitchen facilities plus well stocked bathroom items which you don’t often find in a holiday let ! Kirkbymoorside is well placed for visits to Helmsley, Pickering and Thornton le Dale and further afield Scarborough and Whitby. There are many guide books and recommended walks in the cottage for you to be able to plan trips out over breakfast. We loved our holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Corner Cottage.

If only the weather had been better. Might be worth advertising that Sealife at Scarborough has to be booked in advance on line. We paid for the car park without knowing this. When we tried to book via phone the slot we were offered was after the parking expired. There were no notices telling you the procedure either at the centre or on line.

  • "This is a lovely little cottage in a perfect location in the historic market town of Kirkbymoorside."

We were very comfortable (the double bed is probably the best we've encountered in a holiday cottage - I'm usually groaning with back pain after one night!) and loved having the amenities of the town and nice walks on our doorstep. The owners left us milk and some delicious biscuits and the kitchen is well-equipped for a holiday. There's no wifi, but I managed to get on to BT quite easily - though I enjoyed not taking my laptop and being unable to work whilst away! The fabulous town of Helmsley is nearby - lots to see there, including my favourite visit, the Birds of Prey centre - I really do recommend this very highly. Pickering is another lovely town to visit - and we enjoyed a great Indian meal at Spice4U! We hope to return, this time taking our dog (who went for a holiday in kennels so we could do things you can't take a dog to).

The cottage was lovely, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It was comfortable and the photos on your site don't do it justice. It was close to the centre of the village, but quiet. We enjoyed trips out to local places, national trust house nearby, Helmsley etc. It was also well situated for visits to Whitby, York and lots of walking destinations. We had a great meal at the Blacksmiths Arms, fantastic pub a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

I wasn't expecting these so it was very nice , albeit Im vegan ,so felt guilty i couldn't use them. A welcome note from the owners and correspondence from Les made it a great experience. I lived in Kirkbymoorside a while ago, so it was great to be back and visit my favourite places. Goathland, Whitby, Scarborough, Thirsk, Castle Howard, the list goes on. The only downside to the cottage was no WiFi and BT fon doesnt work there so dont waste money, and parking is difficult. This doesnt distract from the fantastic little cottage that awaits though, so I'd recommend a stay. You wont regret it
