“The property was a bit tired and ...”

The property was a bit tired and could have done with an upgrade. Outside could have been cleaner . None of the kitchen equipment matched odd plates and old pans. The plastic table cloths were old and didn't fit the tables.

“Owner gave some great ...”

Owner gave some great recommendations for things to do, places to eat etc, the 2 cottages interconnected worked well for us, 4 adults, 3 kids Only thing Lacking: dishwasher (kids had to hand-wash pots, ha ha)

Three attractive stone and pantile cottages, the result of a sympathetic conversion of former farm buildings, in a farm setting on the outskirts of Lingdale. On the ground floor of this Lingdale cottage there are two spacious open plan living areas, connected with an interlinking door, both offering a kitchen and dining area, as well as a sitting area, ensuring plenty of space to spread out, and ideal for two family groups sharing the property.

About the location

LINGDALE

Saltburn-by-the-Sea 4 miles.

The small village of Lingdale lies on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park, 4 miles from the former Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Surrounded by open countryside, Lingdale has a local pub and shops for everday needs. Saltburn has excellent amenities such as good restaurants, tea rooms, individual shops and art galleries. There are also good sandy beaches with a splendid historic pier. Lingdale village is a great base for visiting the pretty coastal villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, which lie on the Heritage Coast, renowned for its Jurassic fossil hunting trips. From Lingdale there is also easy access to the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough, and of course, the stunning scenery of the North York Moors.
