  • "Tired cottage in need of updating and decorating inside and a good tidy up outside."

It was listed as a 4 ✔️ on sykes website which was misleading. It is a 3✔️ at most. The level of cleaning was questionable as we arrived an hour before handover to find it had not been cleaned. The cleaners arrived while we were at the property, 45 minutes before handover. This is no where near long enough to do a thorough clean. The bedding had been ‘thrown’ on the beds in haste. Generally, it could be a fantastic place to stay but the owner needs to invest some money into refurbishing it. I would not return to stay again

I have spoken to the cleaners they assure me that it was cleaned properly. Three people cleaned it so 3 hours of cleaning was done, and also Towel art on the beds. We had the property decorated this year. The cottage is quirky and has a lot of original features which we have renovated and kept within keeping of its style. Such as the parquet flooring. Some downstairs walls are 300 yrs old these have been preserved. Other parts of the house, like the kitchen was made in the 1950s. The kitchen is well made and very quirky. We have updated the heating system and lighting and electrics. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."

Very well equipped, the only minor thing was that there wasn't enough cutlery, a few more knives, forks and spoons would be useful, also there was no corkscrew. Otherwise the kitchen is extremely well fitted out with everything you need. Plenty of books and games available. Perhaps some instructions for the television might be a good idea, it took us a while to work it out! Plenty of nice clean towels available, much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Thanks we will get those in place. Property Owner
