  • "Lovely property."

Small village, nice country pub next door with good food and very friendly. Dogs accepted in a lot of places. Good location for Scarborough and whitby

  • "The property was lovely."

Plenty of room and had good facilities. Didnt realise how busy the road was at the front when booking so couldnt really utilise the front garden for anything bar parking, if you have very little dogs they could get out easily. The pub next door, The Denison Arms, serves lovely food and very friendly staff and clientele and very reasonably priced, though limited menu, no noise at closing time either

  • "Enjoyed our stay at Larks Nest."

Property is clean and homely. Thank you for the coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. We enjoyed the biscuits so much we purchased some more when we saw them on our trip to Goathland! Property handily placed for coast or countryside. We enjoyed revisiting some places we went to years ago and took along my father-in-law who is 97. He also enjoyed Larks Nest and we went to the pub next door for a couple of meals. Food was lovely. All the people we met in the village were very friendly and welcoming. Useful having a shop and petrol station across the road too.

  • "We stayed for two weeks at Larks Nest while our house was being renovated."

The house is beautiful - warm and very clean with two lovely bathrooms. Amazing huge bath! We could not fault anything. We had a dog and she was very settled here. Beds were incredibly comfortable and we slept so well, excellent double glazed windows. The area, though on a main road, has so much to offer. Bus stops nearby. Fish and chips a few doors away and the Denison Arms next door where we had some fabulous meals. Parking in their car park was a real bonus. The soooo handy huge Spar shop and garage just across the road. Even a barbers and hairdressers opposite! For holiday makers you are handy for Scarborough, a ten minute drive to town yet also on route to Malton/York. The owners were very helpful with excellent communication. We highly recommend this house.
