  • "The design of the holiday home was great, with lots of storage and a well-thought-through layout, and it was well-equipped."

The only things we'd add would be some hooks on the bedroom doors for jackets, some coasters? (we weren't sure whether it was OK to put hot drinks on the tables) and perhaps some lighter-weight duvets for summer/early autumn. The owner happened to be in Sewerby and came out very promptly to the couple of problems we did have, one of which was fixed there and then (the leaking radiator) - the other will be looked at under the holiday home's warranty (faulty lock on the patio doors). The only other thing we'd highlight is that the rubber cover for the key box leaks black colour on your hands (and it looked like the colour had been running down the wall in the rain too), so it might be an idea to replace that with another sort of cover. The location of the holiday home on the site was lovely, not far from the woods where some deer lived - the only disturbance was from the construction of another holiday home a little way to the back of ours, which will happen from time to time on a developing site. We liked that the home's outdoor area was fully enclosed by fencing and a gate so that our dog could safely be allowed outside and we could have the patio doors open. Lovely base for visiting Filey, Bridlington (walking distance or on the land-train), the local nature reserves and beaches (Danes Dyke NR is also walking distance) and of course Sewerby Hall & Gardens which is right next door.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay and we were very-impressed with the property."

Having visited the site previously when we stayed in a different property I knew from the photos of Rock on Tommy exactly where it was, but for anyone visiting for the first time I would respectfully suggest that more detailed information be given as to where on the site the cottage is (ie turn a sharp right at the end of the drive just before you reach the clubhouse, go straight past the driving range and carry straight on past the first turn right, Rock on Tommy (No33) is the last cottage on the right before you reach the next turn right at the stone wall. The only items we would suggest for you to add in the cottage are salt & pepper pots we looked all over but couldn’t find any. Also both toilet seats were loose and needed tightening up as they moved when you sat on them. Other than that it was perfect and we would definitely visit again.

  • "Fab location and property."

Short walk to Sewerby and the land train to Bridlington. Really had a good time. The instructions to get to the site were good, but we struggled once on site. The WiFi password under the router did not work.

  • "This caravan was amazing."

Brilliant location very peaceful great walks around all together a great little place bed was so comfy had everything you need well I would of liked an iron and ironing board. But that didn't spoil my stay.

  • "Lovely place."

So quiet and homely. The milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were a pleasant welcome. It had everything we needed for our stay, though a vacuum cleaner would have been handy. We have booked again for next year. There are however a couple of issues that could do with addressing. Both toilet seats are very loose and need tightening up. The click clack plug in the left hand en-suite sink needs replacing as it is stuck down making the sink unusable. We found a dogs toy under one of the sofas, which was a bit off putting. Having said all that we would recommend Rock on Tommy.

  • "When we arrived the lodge was spotless, we were very impressed."

Yes the mattress was a little hard for me, but it was fine. The bath was a luxury as we only have a shower at home, it was lovely

  • "Batbroom -Right hand sink does not hold water."

Left hand sink the plug sticks. Largest sofa underneath the cushions were filthy you need to change your cleaners more than a months worth of dirt. Beds are hard. Sofas are hard no comfort in them. No toilet brushes. Cushions would be good idea to sit on the outside furniture. When sun is on the patio doors you struggle to open and close them. When we arrived at about 7pm reception is closed and i drove around the park trying to find the static caravan (not lodge) a kind couple from number 3 helped us find the lodge which is marked as 33 and small letters underneath with rock on tommy. Lights would be good on the static so you can see but to also be fair Sykes gave no instructions in my paperwork for when the static was located and trying to get in touch with Sykes once they have had your money is a NO GO AREA. I struggle to see that I will book with Sykes again.

  • "We were absolutely delighted when we seen how lovely this lodge was and especially for the price."

We had said only thing it would benefit was a hoover with having kids and a dog. We had booked to stay again before we even left the lodge but unfortunately our change of dates after 2 times was not allowed by the owners and therefore incurred a hefty charge by sykes for cancellation which deeply saddened us

  • "This lodge is not one to be missed, having just returned from a week’s stay here and booking another stay before even leaving speaks volumes."

The lodge is immaculate and furnished to a high standard, it has everything you need and is in a great location. This will definitely be one of our go to uk breaks now going forward, the child and dog loved it also.

  • "This holiday home is one not to be missed."

We stayed over the Christmas season and it was absolutely amazing from the moment you drive down the driveway and then you step inside this immaculate cosy and comfortable holiday home. We loved it !! This home has everything you will ever need with the exception of a vacume so we could leave the holiday home as immaculate as we found it. Make sure you get up early to see the wild deer outside on the grass and stay up late to see the curious Mr Fox sneaking around the site. We can't express how wonderful everything was. We will most definitely be booking again. Thank you Scott, Lee, Coco,Tess and Toby
