  • "A superb holiday house with everything you need for a good family holiday."

Spacious and well equipped. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the games room and the sunny garden is ideal to sit in with a drink after a day at the beach. Highly recommend this property.

  • "Great spacious property."

Comfortable and well proportioned. Lovely enclosed garden for our wee beagle to roam. Great idea to use the garage as a games room. Our 21 and 18 year old sons enjoyed this. Great location for exploring both near and further afield. As tea lovers a teapot and milk jug would be a small welcome addition. Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this property to friends and family. The Williams’s.

Thank you for these great comments . Tea pot and milk jug are now in the cupboard. Take care Jayne and David Property Owner

Warm and comfortable during a stressful time and I thank the owners for their understanding. I just hope we didn’t frighten the neighbours when the cortège left from the house!

  • "The house was nice, big and roomy."

The beds were very comfortable. The house was near local attractions town centre,Sewerby hall, bempton cliffs and Flanborough head. There is a co-op nearby and a pub called the happy forester that does good food and a good quiz on Sunday night, there is also two good pubs in Sewerby ,the ship in and the old forge. The house itself was advertised as having a games room with look table, unfortunately the table needs replacing, the underneath part where the ball go when potted has been damaged by damp, and one corner of table has been gaffer taped. There are lights at the back of the house, but they do not work( this was pointed out by a guest review in June ) so could not sit in the garden at night if you wanted to.The garden table and chairs needed a good scrub ,they had Bird poo on and had not been cleaned properly for some time. The cutlery was plentiful but needs replacing, lots of scratch marks on knives and forks, looks like they are quite old. There was only one sponge to clean the dishes,no cloths to wipe work tops down with, only one bin bag left,no soap in upstairs bathrooms ,no mop or bucket .The Wi-Fi was terrible I have a kindle and could not get on a lot of sites e.g facebook, tried to get information to some attractions and just could not access them, read in visitor book a couple of previous guests pointing out same problem. If you have a visitor book for your guests to leave a review surely you as the property owner should read them and any problems should be dealt with straight away.In the whole we had a great time and the house was very nice, just need the little niggles sorting out.

The cutlery is only 18 months old and not used very much due to COVID lock down restrictions and the house closed. There are plentiful antibacterial disposable wipes for kitchen surfaces for hygiene. There are only 2 spare black bin liners left as it is a self catering holiday. The pool table was not damp, but the plinth underneath had come away due to wear and tear. The pool table has now been replaced by full sized new table tennis to provide entertainment for 2or 4 people. We will replace the garden light bulb. We have had lovely comments from a lot of previous guests. Property Owner

  • "A great house for a generationally mixed family group, very well presented and with a really nice garden for children (and adults) to play in."

We couldn't fault it! We all had a great time on our holiday despite the rather cool, grey weather. It was nice to meet the owners on arrival and we'd like to thank them for the welcome goodies.

  • "A nice, spacious house on a big, quiet estate."

Disappointed not all beds/rooms made up but quickly sorted with a call to the owners. They said Sykes said only to make up enough for total guests, but how can you possibly know what configuration or relationships are involved? Yes there was 6 of us but 2 were mother and son so required separate rooms! So all 4 rooms required. House, garden and owners were very dog friendly which was nice. Cleaning could be improved especially mirrors, windows, skirting boards etc. Games room is a great touch, although pool table in need of some maintenance as falling apart in places and several balls kept disappearing to come out later! Wifi not very reliable or not enough to go around. Seemed sporadic on some devices. However, it was good that the TV has a wire direct to broadband box to use the smart TV and catch-up services. The hob was listed as a gas hob and is shown as such in the photos, however there is now an induction hob which we found hard to regulate. House is in a fab area with plenty to do - more than enough for a week.

  • "I did ring Sykes to check if there was a travel cot and high chair was told there was not."

Luckily the owner phoned me just before the holiday to ask if we needed them. I suggest that your staff are made aware that even if a cot and high chair are not shown in the description they may be available and they check with the owners before making holiday makers take their own.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at the holiday property, plenty of space very neat and tidy."

We were on a photography break and needed somewhere to relax after a tiring day, the property certainly allowed that. The week was great for weather so we didnt use the games room but it was great to have that facility. The most important factor for us was the location, out on the edge of Bridlington it allowed you to get away to the coast very easy without heavy traffic. A couple of us was a bit negative about the restriction setting on the Wi-Fi but in general it wasn't a problem. Overall it was a great property in a great location as long you have a car, I would highly recommend this holiday let and would definitely book again when staying in that area. Thanks to the owners for its presentation.

  • "As a last minute booking - what a great place."

Ideal for us as a family and my father, been in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of things...in a corner on a quiet estate. Easy reach to Bridlington, Filey, Flamborough and many other areas. Local amentities where great - good chip shop and co-op near buy. Aldi and Morrisons a 10min car drive. The house was amazing - home from home. All that you needed was there - ample parking. Clean and easy to access, plenty of bedroom space and added bouncy of having the garage set up as a games room - for the young child to the adults (pool table) - where my dad had fun beating my son at pool on many occasions. A great information pack left as you walked in the house, as to how to work things and contact details. Thank You for a great place, we would be happy to use this again,

  • "A comfortable house to live in that easily catered for three generations of our family."

There is a secure garden for the youngest members of the family to play and recommended by them for hide and seek. There were quiet areas for granny and granddad to sit and read and the middle generation enjoyed boules (not supplied) in the garden and pool in the games room. The utility room was a bonus and kept the large family kitchen clear for cooking. Good sized bedrooms and very comfortable beds. Also can we say thank you to David and Jayne for the box of chocolates that were very well received; they were a lovely welcome to the start of our holiday.

  • "We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house."

It is situated in a very quiet corner of a large estate. The back of the house is very private & is not over looked. It has mature trees & bushes which made you feel as if you were in your own little world. We ate our breakfast every morning on the patio which was very pleasant & had an evening meal in the comfortable gazebo. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The games room (garage) went down very well with us all too. Thank you

The property

In the seaside town of Bridlington, you can find this large and lofty four-bedroom house, Airedale View, surrounded by other detached houses on the outskirts of the bustling centre.

This property would be perfect for a family gathering, with plenty of shared spaces to spend time together and catch up on life, with an enclosed garden for the kids to run around in.

Choose a family favourite film on the Smart TV to stream on your first evening, snuggle down on the large corner suite and sofas to start the holiday as you mean to go on - together!

With bags of space for some little helpers you can prepare packed lunches for your days out, or a home-cooked evening meal in the airy and modern kitchen, which benefits from an adjoining utility room.

A dining area sits opposite patio doors opening out to the garden, so you can take in the last of the evening sun as you eat your food, no matter what time of year.

When the night draws to a close, head up the stairs to the first floor where you will find an excellent selection of bedrooms; a double with en-suite bathroom, and three twin rooms, all well-sized and with bright and modern décor and furniture.

The main bathroom is a family shower room featuring a beautiful glass double shower, giving you a fantastic start to the day!

Perhaps its best feature, especially in summer, is the large enclosed garden with lush greenery and flowers all around, and including a patio area, a wooden decked gazebo area with seating, lawn and shrubs lining different areas.

The garage is also now a games room with a selection of games and a 9ft table tennis table, with the option to use it for bike storage as well.

Nearby to Airedale View, just a short drive away is Sewerby Hall and Gardens, a Grade I listed Georgian country house set in 50 acres of landscaped gardens, perfect for a sunny day out with a picnic.

After the arrival of the railway in the 1840s and the growth of the seaside holiday trade, the inhabitants of Bridlington shifted to the area around the harbour, becoming the town centre, and as a result the Old Town has retained most of its historic buildings and special atmosphere, with many buildings dating from the 17th century.

The Bayle Museum and Bridlington Priory are well worth a visit too, to learn of the rich history of this Yorkshire coastal gem.

Airedale View is perfectly situated for a private family gathering, somewhere to enjoy time with your loved ones, and benefiting from a great location from which to explore.
