“The bungalow is in a lovely location, although quite a walk into Bridlington but it is a nice property.”

The linen was clean and fresh. I had to wash some plates before using them but otherwise it was clean. The furniture is a little dated and not particularly comfortable. The front door did not lock from the inside and we notified the owner when we arrived and had discovered this. We had to contact him as there was no key for the side door leading into the back garden and we have a dog. He brought a spare straight away which is when we told him about the front door. The front door did not lock from the inside and we notified the owner when we arrived and had discovered this. We had to contact him as there was no key for the side door leading into the back garden and we have a dog. He brought a spare straight away which is when we told him about the front door. Unfortunately it was still the same when we left. We had to lock it from the outside at night, which is a fire hazard as this only leaves one exit out of one of the bedrooms. A whole week to do something about it is more than long enough in my opinion! I hope whoever is there this week is able to get it sorted. There is a chain on the door but this is not secure enough when you have valuables in the property. It's a shame because otherwise we had a fantastic week.

About the location

BRIDLINGTON

Filey 10 miles; Scarborough 20 miles.

The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline. There are numerous places to visit in the area, including Bempton's RSPB bird sanctuary, Sewerby Hall, Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves. A great area for bird and nature lovers, or simply for touring.
