  • "Lovely bright spacious welcoming apartment."

Very comfortable and spotlessly clean with lots of local information in the apartment on places to visit. Plenty of space for parking and in a great location. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you Ken for your lovely feedback. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay in this lovely part of North Yorkshire. Thank you for looking after the Flat during your stay. We do hope you come again. Very best wishes Avis and Steven Property Owner

  • "Very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean."

The kitchen and bathroom are small, which is fine because the living accommodation is light and spacious. Boroughbridge is very well positioned for visiting many interesting places. Quite a long walk into the town centre but easy to park there.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to know what you feel is inaccurate about the listing, I really would not like to mislead anyone. Please could you message me when you have a moment. Avis Property Owner

  • "Comfortable, clean and cosy."

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, which is very well sited for exploring North Yorkshire and a good base to visit York itself. There's a Morrisons just a few hundred yards down the road, which is very handy. We had mixed weather during our stay, so it was nice to have a lovely cosy retreat in the evening. We didn't actually do any hiking, but if we'd had our wet muddy boots to dry then the carpets and shoe cupboard provided in the accommodation are far too nice to store muddy boots, so you'd have to leave them in the car. Maybe a plastic box (or equivalent) could be provided to help dry muddy boots overnight without causing a mess for anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. We will give your suggestion serious consideration. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. I do hope you visit us again. Avis Property Owner

  • "Enjoyed a weeks stay at this property which is clean and well maintained with all comforts provided."

Two Tvs with Sky ect always a bonus. The owner is very house proud and presents a homely comfortable property to stay at. Sited on the edge of Boroughbridge with easy access to the usual tourist spots in that area and a Morrison's Supermarket a short walk away. We would use this property in the future.

Thank you very much for your feedback it is appreciated. You are most welcome to stay again whenever you want to. Kind regards Steven Property Owner

  • "Ideal location for walks and for exploring Yorkshire."

The accommodation was first rate with plenty of equipment in the kitchen and the property generally. The owners left a lot of information about the immediate area as well options for days out (both wet and dry days). It could possibly benefit from having a hair drier available and either a net curtain or a blind in the kitchen window. Would definitely revisit and would highly recommend the property to friend, family and others.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at The Gables. We think that we live in such a lovely part of the country and there is so much to do in every direction. Thank you for looking after the flat during your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. Very kind regards, Avis. Property Owner

  • "To the owners of the Gables, I wish to thank you for the warm welcome you gave us."

The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in and was perfectly positioned for our activities during our stay. When I tripped the electrics (entirely my fault! - I shook my hands dry in direct view of the exposed kettle!) you were most accomodating in putting our electric back on and presenting us with a new kettle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will consider staying again when I next visit my brother who is based in Boroughbridge.

Apologies for the late response to your lovely feedback, I thought I had replied. It was lovely to have you stay at The Gables we are so pleased you enjoyed it. I still remember your eldest girl announcing the arrival of a ginger cat in her delightfully clear voice. We hope you come back soon. Very kind regards, Avis. Property Owner

The property is beautifully clean and well presented. Plenty of information supplied about the local area. Lots of excellent places to eat locally and Morrison's supermarket a couple of minutes walk away provides all essentials. Many thanks for a restful and pleasant stay.

Thank you very much for looking after the flat and for being such considerate guests. We would be very pleased to see you all again anytime. • "We had a lovely time again on our second visit."

The hosts were very welcoming. The only comment I would like to make - and it applies to every cottage we visit - there was far too many glasses plates etc which make it very difficult to store foodstuff. Altogether it is alovely appartment.

Hi Margaret, Thank you for visiting us again. I will make sure that there is enough space for storing foodstuffs on your next visit. Very kind regards Avis Property Owner

  • "Hello Avis."

Many thanks for the flat. We really enjoyed our stay and really only have some minor suggestions that may help you to improve what is a great place to stay. We thought it would have been nice to have a welcome pack. Also some of the basic food and similar items that you don’t want to have to buy specially just for a week would have been useful: e.g., salt pepper and vinegar. There was tea and coffee but for instance the instant coffee in the cupboard was over a year out of its sell by date and unusable. We wonder whether it’d be worth reviewing everything you provide in terms of food, removing the old stuff and focus on what people are most likely to need. Final thought: there are a huge number of glasses (enough for a huge party!) but not many plates etc. Which were rather small.
