Beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard and exquisite village great walks lovely friendly hosts who couldn't do enough to ensure we had a lovely stay, lovely welcome pack and facilities on a beautiful farm with sheep, horses, ducks, chickens & dogs. The quaint old farm houses and cottages are to die for breathtakingly beautiful and being so close to York, Poppleton whether by racecourse and other little villages was great! It's such good value and a great relaxing stay to combat burn out and reconnect with nature the villagers are all very friendly and you must have lunch at the White Lion in Upper Poppleton not too far from the cottage, great secure parking and Netflix and smart TV kitchen facilities are great everything you need is there including torches and candles two seating areas with a horse as a neighbor called ginger. The views are amazing so quiet and peaceful we are going back for sure! 5 stars all round just what we needed...... no negatives here loved it.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners were very kind and friendly. We loved their dog! He visited us every day when we sat outside. The village was nice and quiet and we liked the view over the fields from the cottage.
