The property

Located in the centre of Ripon, right by the canal basin and the River Swell, boasting delightful river views, is 21 Bondgate Green, a luxury, four-storey townhouse.

This spacious and contemporary property offers fantastic accommodation for a family or group of friends wanting to explore Yorkshire, with some stunning walking opportunities through the countryside of the Nidderdale AONB, as well as the town of Harrogate and city of York all within easy reach.

Step inside the property to discover a stunning and stylish interior with high-quality fixtures and furnishings, well thought out by the owner, who is an interior designer.

The sitting room offers a large bay window with shutters, charming navy blue painted walls, off set by a soft grey carpet and neutral sofas, alongside a patterned armchair, where you can curl up with a good book, while the feature fireplace houses an open fire, which you can use on a cooler evening to add to the homely feel of the space as you settle down to enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV.

Alternatively, head to the lower-ground-floor to find a fantastic cinema room, with a large corner sofa, Smart TV and sound bar, the perfect place to lay back and enjoy a film and popcorn night, while next door you will find a games room which is guaranteed to provide hours of entertainment.

The contemporary kitchen/diner follows the navy blue theme with its painted units, along with wooden worktops and a large breakfast bar/island where you can prepare meals and enjoy a quick snack at one of the bar stools.

The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the necessary mod cons to create home-cooked meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table, that can comfortably seat the whole group, with the adjoining pantry offering ample storage space and a lower-ground-floor utility housing an American-style fridge/freezer with ice machine and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

There is a balcony that can be accessed from the kitchen with patio furniture and boasting lovely views of the river, offering the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful moment in the morning with a cup of coffee.

Upstairs you will discover three spacious bedrooms; a king-size double with river views and an en-suite shower room, a second king-size double and a single, served by the exquisite family bathroom, neutrally styled with a soft carpet, a choice of shower over bath and a heated towel rail for extra comfort.

The second floor houses a further two bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double and a twin, served by a shower room with Velux window.

Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a garage for bike storage.

The pub/restaurant is within walking distance and is visible from the property, as is the river, which provides a pretty backdrop to an afternoon stroll.

The city centre is a few minutes' walk away, with a host of amenities, eateries, pubs and shopping facilities, as well as well-known attractions such as the imposing cathedral with a 1300-year-old crypt, the courthouse Museum, Prison & Police Museum and Ripon Spa Gardens, known for its bandstand, which hosts concerts throughout the year.

Close by is Newby Hall & Gardens, a family-friendly Georgian house & gardens set amidst 25 acres, as well as being close to the Nidderdale AONB, where walkers can enjoy exploring Studley Park, the magnificent remains of the medieval Fountains Abbey and the unique rock formations of the National Trust's Brinham Rocks.

Other attractions worth visiting include Nidderdale Museum of local history, the Nidderdale Llamas animal park and pretty walks can be enjoyed along the River Nidd, and from here you are well-placed for discovering the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The spa town of Harrogate is a short drive away, with its Royal Pump Room Museum and restored Turkish Baths & Health Spa, while the ancient city of York, with its Gothic-inspired, stained glass cathedral, city walls, host of museums and famous Shambles shopping street, is also easily accessible.

There is a wealth of opportunity for exploring the picturesque countryside, towns and cities of Yorkshire from this stunning holiday home.
