Clean and airy Cars parked across the road made parking awkward Nicely situated to get out and about Would class the rugs scattered on top of carpet could be classed as being a trip hazard Garden could be nice with some TLC Would have been nice to have curtains in front room or poles taken down Disapointed no small welcome pack which we have always been used to in other properties Enjoyed our stay and the weather was a bonus Nice to have supermarket close

Handy for coast. Good food nearby at local pubs & restaurants. Lots of very good cliff walks in Scarborough. The area around Scalby is lovely. Very enjoyable stay.

  • "It was a very good place to stay a lovely area to come home to at night and not too far away from anywhere we wanted to be."

The park and rides or buses were close by. We felt like we were in holiday but weren’t too close to the beaches or town but close enough.

  • "Had a lovely stay in this lovely bungalow."

Would consider booking again as meet all our requirements and enjoyed our stay. Although did feel that opportunities were missed to clearly identify that Covid-19 steps, were followed and that the owners / cleaners had gone the extra mile to make you feel safe. Was surprised to find no soap or hand sanitizer anywhere in sight. (although came well prepared from home). Didn't really seem that any additional cleaning or steps had been taken and it was the usual standards expected of any holiday let.

But we think that the cleaner should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen which is a shame because the rest of the property was clean. The cutlery drawer was full of breadcrumbs as was the toaster. There were sticky marks on the kitchen cabinet doors and kitchen door and a dirty mug in the cupboard. The fridge was nice and clean though. We don’t expect the cleaner to wash the dishes but the kitchen should be sanitised.

  • "Superb large Bungalow in a really nice area of Scarborough."

Scalby village a short walk away, with pubs and shops. Easy access to Scarborough, as bus stop 5 minutes away as if Rosette Pub. Local supermarket Proudfoot supermarket two minute drive nearby. Well equipped clean bright bungalow with all you need, only downside was temperamental heating and small TV. Highly recommended, will book again if available when going back to Scarborough

  • "Everything about the property is fine and we had a really nice stay."

The only minor complaint was that the bathroom window did not shut very well and you felt like the handle would break when you closed it. The other complaints concerns Sykes advertising which says there is a DVD player in the Snug when in fact there has never been a DVD player there. The DVD player is in the lounge with the main TV so there was not a separate one for the children as we thought. The advert also fails to say that no hair drier is provided and if we had known this we could have brought our own.

  • "We found this bungalow had everything we wanted."

It was a lovely, comfortable, bungalow in a lovely location which served as a good base for trips to Scarborough. Whitby, Dalby Forest, etc. Whereas some previous visitors found the drive a bit steep, and did not like the step at the front and back, our 80 year old companion who has some mobility issues, uses a walking stick and avoids stairs, did not experience any difficulty at all.

  • "Lovely bungalow, very quiet and very spacious."

A great base to come back to after a long day touring North Yorkshire. When we go back to Scarborough, we will have no hesitation in booking this bungalow again. We have both come back from the holiday feeling throughly refreshed and this is because of the calming nature of the bungalow. If you like peace and quiet and a leisurely pace for your holiday, this is the bungalow for you.

  • "Very clean and comfortable bungalow but not suited to people with mobility difficulties."

There is a slope from where you park car to front door which was even more difficult due to overgrown bush .There was then a total of 4 steps up and one down to get from outside through porch and into hall .One of these steps was only 2 small tiles wide so difficult to step on .Also access to garden was via 2 steep steps. For people with no mobility issues there is not a problem but it definitely needs to be mentioned in description that it is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties We came home 3 days early as it was too difficult for me getting in and out of property.

It's in a very quiet residential location on a corner plot. The garden/flower beds are all at the front of the property which we found wasn't really very suitable for small children to play out. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
