  • "Everything was absolutely lovely there's only one thing I could think you could do to improve it in the area were the jacuzzi is should have had a little bit more light, because the solar lights weren't very bright."

otherwise everything else was spot on. Thanks enjoyed our stay. Will book again.

  • "The cabin was fantastic, very clean and well equipped, everything had been thought of."

The hot tub was perfect too. The whole set up was wonderful for a lovely relaxing break. The owner called us himself to check everything was OK which was a lovely touch. The site is very quiet and ideally placed for visiting York and the Coast. We would highly reccomend and we will definitely be back.

We took our daughter and 1yr old granddaughter too, she had a ball on her first holiday and loved watching the lights on the tree, thank you very much for adding a festive touch it made our stay more special. I would highly recommend anyone to stay and hopefully we will manage to come back again.

  • "Lovely roomy place, could not fault that, great location."

Lovely pretty garden area. Extremely warm cabin! The cleanliness was extremely poor, my 9 month old found a previous occupants sock in hands reach under the settee, there were sweet wrappers under the beds, even a pair of used earrings, the kitchen cupboards were dirty and the handles had food on. Having wiped them down myself you could see they hadn't been cleaned. The two rugs had dogs hairs on them as well as dried leaves underneath, they hadn't been moved when cleaned. The hand soap left empty which in current times very poor.

  • "Loved the lodge and had every facility we needed and more, the beds and sofa were exceptionally comfy and loved the smart tv as we relaxed on the 2nd day and watched movies!"

Only thing was that the pub and other things to do are a little far but that’s not a fault of yours! Will definitely be booking again!

  • "The lodge is great, hot tub was wonderful and beds were comfortable."

The main downside was that the cleaning left much to be desired. One of the plates still had leftover food on it but was put away in the cupboard, pans were not rinsed properly and bedding still left in the drier. This didn't put us at ease, especially under present circumstances with covid-19.

  • "The owner made our stay memorable with the facilities he provided."

I refer to the flowerbeds, the patio/ bbq area, the beautiful outside lighting and best of all, the hot tub. After a busy day it was lovely to relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine.

  • "The hot tub had far too much chlorine in it."

When my boyfriend took the cover off chlorine gas hit him in the face and he threw up. Then we tried again and got in the hot tub. After being in there for 20 minutes we got out and went into the house. We then realised our bodies were covered in a rash from all of the strong chemicals. The top layer of my skin was scorched off. Apart from that I had a lovely stay.

The only downside is the sofa, it is not comfortable. Other than that, the lodge was spotlessly clean and the owners very friendly and tried their best to fix a problem we had while we were there. We would stay again if they changed the sofa.
