  • “Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage.”

We loved it, and were blessed with fine weather in mid-September. The front patio with bench is a total sun trap and gets the sun all day, with a side beach view in the direction of the town and Observation Wheel. Inside the sea views just get better and better from the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms. So nice to have comfy sofas in a holiday cottage, thank you. ...

Inside the sea views just get better and better from the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms. So nice to have comfy sofas in a holiday cottage, thank you. This is such a convenient spot provided you can manage hills and stairs as at the end of the street you are straight onto paths taking you up to the Castle, Royal Albert Park or over to North Bay, or down towards Marine Drive, bringing you straight past the lovely Roof Top Bar. It is only a few minutes to walk to town to the main Foreshore Road strip, via so many different routes - quaint narrow roads or quickest if you cut through on steps. The property itself has steep stairs inside and tiny little level changes between ground floor rooms to be aware of, should that be a problem for anyone. The stairs to the raised outside area at the rear are also very steep (so much so our small dog could not manage them!) The road is a cul de sac with no turning space at the end so should you drive in and discover there is no parking you need to be competent at reversing, which may be off putting for some potential guests and is perhaps good to know in advance. The owner had provided plenty of scratch cards for the zoned parking which was a blessing since I needed a spare, having messed up the dates on one. Would definitely stay here again.
