It is handy to walk down to the beach and North Bay seafront, as well as into town for pubs and restaurants. There is a One Stop shop and a decent pub within a couple of minutes walk. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses etc for a large group, everyone can sit round the dining table and there is seating for all in the large lounge. The parking needs to be clarified - yes, it isn’t always easy to find a spot immediately outside, but we never had any major problems and had four cars parked within a minute’s walk for most of the holiday. We ran out of parking permits but were able to purchase more at the hotel next door - they’re only £2 for 4 days so not expensive. There were a couple of temporary issues at the house which needed fixing - and Sykes were very quick to organise a plumber to fix the toilet which had broken. However, there were also several missing light bulbs, and a door handle had come off one of the bathroom doors, obviously a number of weeks previous to our visit, but nothing had been done to fix this, which meant it was possible to get stuck in the bathroom if you weren’t careful. I reported these issues to Sykes at the start of the week, but no action had been taken by the end of our week’s stay. However, these issues, whilst annoying, didn’t spoil the overall holiday experience. A previous reviewer mentioned that one of the bedrooms is very much larger and nicer than the others; this is true, but the other rooms are also en-suite and perfectly comfortable. Definitely a property worth considering if you want a seaside holiday in a well-equipped, comfortable house, with fantastic views and good access to a lovely sandy beach.
