The view across the fields to the Cleveland Hills are a delight, not least because the scenes colouring changes with the Sunrise, Sunset and Moon rise. Venture up to the hills via Carlton in Cleveland with its dining pub famous for the Thai menu and then with passengers only admiring the views climb the steep swirly hill and over the top to find Lordstones Country Park - and of course itā€™s great restaurant (indoor & sheltered outdoors) and Farm Shop. • "The photos in this add are from when the Lodge was first purchased and not it ..."

The photos in this add are from when the Lodge was first purchased and not it current state the arm of the sofa kept falling off the place needed cleaning by my Wife before we could relax the fridge was dirty there was old food in the cupboards from previous guests the decking was spongy and we did not walk round the side for fear of falling through the parasol had been repaired on 3 occasions I spoke to the owner and he replaced this straight away the paddock for the dog was not secured it's a good job she is friendly as we kept getting a jake russle size dog visiting us daily the grounds were unkept and very over grown this place is definitely not worth the Ā£500+ we paid and would not recommend it to anyone the only plus I can say is Keith allowed my parents stay overnight as my son had his birthday whilst we were on holiday luxury this was not but it would be ideal for someone wanting to ruff it a few nights

Iā€™m very surprised by this feedback and greatly regret this guests disappointment, sadly, the only comment I received concerned the broken parasol which presumably had been broken and repaired by a previous guest but not reported to me. Of course I replaced it the same day. We had in the previous week appointed new cleaners recommended by Sykes, clearly I need to bring their work up to standards expected. The leather sofa bed arm did fail due to its poor quality fixing system despite its huge price! Iā€™ve since replaced the factory fittings with mild steel brackets, so should be secure now. Our guest might recall me walking round the walkway to the deck area where I found 4 guests seated comfortably as I changed the parasol - admittedly I only weigh 10st, but itā€™s unlikely anyone of any weight would fall through. Yes, the grass in the area at the back was long - failed experiment with ā€˜re-wildingā€™ - wonā€™t be doing that again Property Owner

He kindly provided us with an extra fan on the hottest day which was greatly appreciated. There was also a charging point for an electric car which I was able to pay to use which I found very useful.
