The property

Robin Hood's Bay 1.5 miles.

A superb, red-brick annexe adjoining the owner's property, on the edge of Fylingthorpe, one and a half miles from Robin Hood's Bay.

Set in a peaceful, elevated position, the cottage has glorious panoramic views over rolling countryside, stretching right along the coastline to the cliffs of Ravenscar.

With all ground floor accommodation, this idyllic location is perfect for a romantic break and to enjoy the many attractions in this beautiful part of the country.

Tastefully renovated to the highest of standards, the cottage has a light and cheerful open plan living area with a contemporary kitchen and a comfortable sitting area with an electric woodburner-effect stove set in a feature fireplace.

A small and sunny conservatory leads off from the sitting room and houses the dining table and an additional 'snuggle seat’.

With luxurious underfloor heating, this is a wonderful spot to sit and relax with a book at any time of the year.

Two pretty bedrooms are both individually styled and with quality linen and mattresses, you are ensured a good night’s sleep.

Outside the cottage is an extensive decked patio to the front, which affords spectacular views.

With cushioned seating and a gas barbecue, guests can sit with a glass of wine and dine alfresco.

For the energetic, there are four mountain bikes available and a couple of minutes’ ride down to the village brings you onto the disused railway line, known as the 'Cinder Track' - twenty three miles of cycling from Whitby to Scarborough!

There is an excellent network of footpaths straight from the door and a lovely walk over the fields to the ancient fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, with its steep, winding cobbled streets, lined with quaint cottages tumbling down towards the sea.

Historic Whitby is just a few minutes’ drive, with its long, sandy beaches, famous Abbey and many good restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.

With the breathtaking North York Moors on the doorstep, Croft Cottage makes the perfect choice.

Note: Property is on the same site as Ref: 951304, together they sleep 12.

About the location

ROBIN HOOD’S BAY

Whitby 6 miles; Scarborough 17 miles.

Robin Hood's Bay, with its narrow cobbled streets and quaint cottages, is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coastline. Situated between Scarborough and Whitby, this charming old fishing village is to be found nestling at the edge of a wide sweeping bay backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland scenery, and was once home to author Leo Walmsley. All holidaymakers will love the beach and its cliff-top walks, whilst more serious walkers will enjoy the many long distance trails that pass through the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk and the Coast to Coast walks which all take in Robin Hood’s Bay. The village amenities are superb, with charming alleyways to explore and plenty of places to rest, relax and take refreshment. A perfect base for enjoying the Yorkshire Coast.
