The Mason family visited in July 2017, we had an amazing time, the bungalow was fantastic, in a great location, the beach was stunning, our dog, a big, daft Labrador just loved it! Would all love to visit again.

The property

Hunmanby 2.7 miles.

A superbly placed detached bungalow, in the small community of Hunmanby Gap, with just a short stroll to miles of wonderful golden sands.

Ideal for a traditional family seaside holiday, this modern holiday home provides very comfortable ground floor accommodation.

The spacious sitting room has a cosy open fire, with French doors opening onto a small sunroom with triple aspect windows throwing in plenty of light, a lovely spot to sit and relax, curled up with a book.

The well-equipped kitchen incorporates a family dining area, while the two bedrooms offer plenty of storage space.

Outside, there is a gravelled, fully enclosed garden and large paved patio to the rear, a sheltered spot to enjoy a morning coffee before heading off to the beach.

Nearby, Hunmanby village offers pubs, shops and tea rooms, but within a few minutes’ drive is the seaside resort of Filey, with its elegant promenades, colourful gardens and brightly painted beach huts.

Both young and old will enjoy crabbing in the rock pools on the Brigg, or exhilarating walks along the cliff top.

With its coble landing, traditional donkey rides and candy floss, there is something for everyone!

If you can tear yourself away from the beach, the surrounding area has many attractions, including the stately homes of Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall and the RSPB reserve at Bempton, with its nesting sea birds of puffins and kittiwakes.

With the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds to discover and the larger coastal towns of Scarborough and Bridlington close by, this delightful property offers the best of both worlds.
