  • "We really enjoyed our stay there apart from the weather!"

The house was really well furnished and we loved the hot tub! Thanks again Andy and Jill

  • "A lovely week stay in the property with lovely views."

Spacious rooms and very modern decor. We tried the herb fed chicken from the farm shop and didn't disappoint. Well worth the money.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage."

The accommodation was very modern and spacious. The views of the countryside were very picturesque. The hot tub was a great bonus. The window shutters were great as other guests had mentioned the windows needed them. Highly recommend the couples bar b q packs from the on site butcher. Scarborough is a lovely seaside town and the views from the top of the castle are amazing. Whitby is well worth a visit with lovely narrow streets and a quaint harbour. Thank you for a fantastic stay. Hopefully we will return in the future.

  • "Beautiful accommodation, very clean and comfortable."

More towels for use with the hot tub, and extra tea towles/dish cloths. Unable to wash these as no washing machine. Some cleaning products as unable to clean up properly at end of stay. Also small hover, brush and pan difficult to keep floor clean. More dishes, cutlery and serving dishes. More knives for food prep. Windows needed additional blinds, especially bathroom, busy farm and felt quite exposed. Disappointed on receiving an email the day before departure regarding no washing machine or freezer. Was not aware of this. Not highlighted in description. We are aware of weddings/functions in the barn but the music was quite disturbing. Did not release it would be quite so intrusive and busy Not good for a restful holiday. The remainder of the week was good and enjoyable. Tearoom staff very helpful and accomodating. Overall beautiful accommodation and location.

  • "Listing describes fridge/freezer and washing machine."

In fact fridge only and dishwasher not washing machine. Needs blinds up at two windows for privacy. Not enough cutlery and knives blunt. No scissors. Instructions for induction hob missing. Bit of a trek to bathroom in the night from upper floor to lower floor. The above said, an excellent apartment, spacious and very clean. Well placed for exploring the east coast. As stated on the web site, weddings are celebrated at weekends across the yard so there can be some noise overflow although it was not a problem on the one night it happened to us. Score 7/10

  • "The lodge was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely."

However it was not the tranquil retreat that was advertised. During our stay of a week there were three function that took place (wasn’t aware when booking) resulting in loud music being played until midnight and 11pm. Our children were unable to sleep due to the noise or watch tv and it was not a relaxing stay because of this.

  • "We have just returned from a weeks stay in this wonderful accommodation and we were very happy with our holiday."

The lodge itself is fantastic, was quite well equipped and was very clean on arrival. The views are stunning and the hot tub was obviously the biggest bonus! We had little contact with the owners / staff during our stay, but they were welcoming when we arrived. This place is in the perfect location for travelling to nearby towns and beaches and is set on a lovely farm. We had a wonderful stay, but there are just a couple of things we wanted to point out: We feel that all windows on the bottom floor (bathroom and side window) should have a blind or curtain, particularly as it's such a busy little place and we felt our privacy was hindered at times. Additionally, a better brush or even hoover would be ideal as it was hard to keep the floors tidy. Lastly, during the week we had a little issue with small black bugs coming in from under the big french doors (they stayed around the door). We didn't raise this as an issue at the time as it's probably expected in the countryside and didn't cause us much bother, but it could be something to look at for the future. However, we really loved this accommodation and would definitely return if we were in the area again! Thanks.

  • "A superbly appointed holiday cottage with a stunning view over the Yorkshire countryside."

The friendly owners are close at hand and happy to help in any way - as are the many curious animals who come to say hello! A minor observation is that the property could do with a couple of clothes hooks, possibly under the stairs for coats and in the bathroom near the shower for towels/dry clothes.

  • "Beautiful cottage, absolutely spotless."

Only criticism would be can see straight in from car park/farm yard, needs a blind / curtains/privatisation on window. A couple more towels/ bath robe for hot tub would be good. Overall a beautiful place. Would love to go again.

with the added convenience of being only 3miles from the coast. The owners couldn’t do enough to make our stay a good one! Lovely tea rooms and great breakfast on the doorstep. Farm shop has excellent barbecue packs too!! Hot tub was wonderful … again with the most stunning views! Can’t fault it! Hope to be able to return at some stage.
