“Christine was superb - couldn't do enough for us - and was mindful of the Covid -19 Virus and its concerns to visitors.”

Excellent cleanliness and we were probably the last people to visit this site before the lockdown occurred. Location for the Cleveland Way was perfect - bus stop also perfect for Whitby and Middlesborough if you needed anything bigger. Great privacy and a lovely quiet location. Could highly recommend this site and location for anything keen on outdoor pursuits and also for a pleasant and quiet relaxing location. Can highly recommend all the pubs in the local vicinity and esp the Cod ...

Can highly recommend all the pubs in the local vicinity and esp the Cod and Lobster at Staithes. Food was excellent - whisky and Gin lists extensive! Had to drag my wife out to walk back! Lovely local beach at Runswick Bay but be prepared for a steep walk down and back. For some the car park at the bottom might be an easier option. We are experienced holiday cottagers, only a few would be worth a second visit. However, this is definitely one we would wish to visit again and was excellent value for money..

Runswick Bay Lodges

Situated in the charming village of Runswick Bay, regarded as one of the Yorkshire Coast’s prettiest destinations, the Runswick Bay Lodges are ideally located for enjoying all the beauty of the coast and the North York Moors National Park. The lodges are both beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard, featuring modern bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchens, as well as outdoor decking areas, perfect for alfresco entertaining, and two private parking spaces. Just a short walk away is the village centre of Runswick Bay, a collection of red-roofed cottages, tucked away behind the cliffs overlooking the golden beach below. A traditional and quiet fishing village in favour of pleasant pubs and tearooms. If you prefer to drive down to the village, there is a public car park in the centre for anybody with walking difficulties. A mix of sand and stone, Runswick Bay Beach is a popular destination for families, sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts. Wander along the beach and take note of the Hob Holes, small caves in the cliffs where hobgoblins were supposed to live, explore the many rock pools, or search the beach rubble for fossils. The long distance walking path, Cleveland Way, passes through Runswick Bay offering plenty of walking opportunities and you will find two pubs within easy walking distance and a few local shops, including the all-important chip shop, all very close. With the spectacular North York Moors to explore and the bustling seaside town of Whitby within easy reach, these properties have something for everyone.
