I would recommend to family and friends.

Location was perfect, double bed, very comfortable as was the pillows. I would recommend this lodge to anybody.

  • "Tv was Internet only."

We had to set up passwords ourselves. The password print was not clear. After initial difficulty I was able to navigate options. We were 2 couples. The other couple would have had great difficulty. There was no welcome pack that might have helped. Otherwise the lodge was very good.

  • "The lodge had a lovely welcoming pack with many useful items, thank you."

There was also lots of toys and games for the children (and adults) to use. The lodge would definitely benefit from better quality single beds. Although the lodge was very clean, there was some mould on the bath silicone, also, the toilet roll holders need securing in both bathrooms as they kept falling off the wall. We did have issues with the boiler as we shouldn’t need to keep refilling the system due to it losing pressure (It’s supposed to be a holiday). There was also no instruction file to refer to for use in the lodge although when asked the owner was unaware that it was missing and was addressing the issue asap The lodge is well equipped and comfortable and there was no extra charges for cots, a highchair AND our little dog which was a big plus. It’s easy to miss the turn in to the lane for the lodge as the sign can only be seen coming from one direction, we drove straight past the entrance first time but found it when turning round on the road. Maybe a local planning problem? We would definitely stay at the lodge in the future as it’s a really pleasant, tidy well kept site, immaculate in fact and we had a great time. Its also very well situated for exploring the area. Overall a few little niggles but none of which spoilt out holiday at all.

Everything was well organised and super clean. So far this property was the only one which we had no problem with it .The equipments were provided in high standard, because some owner leave broken stuff to use and they mention that is full of facilities and equipment which is not. I really recommend to everyone, you feel you are in your house without any hassles.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay."

The lodge was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. It was in a quiet location but easy walking distance to the beach. We paid a little more than what we usually do for a mini break but it was definitely worth it. The lovely place coupled with lucky weather meant we had our best uk break ever. Thanks

  • "We had a lovely stay at Sea Holly Lodge, it is very well laid out, spacious, clean lodge, in a great position for exploring the area."

We found the seating in the lounge area a little compact and the lack of bins/recycling bins at the lodge a bit unusual. A clothes airer would be very handy too to dry clothes after wet days out. A welcome/visitors book with dog walks, local area info including vets/doctors contacts, nearest shops, where to put rubbish etc would be a very ‘welcome’ addition. Thank you for all the kind welcome treats they were much appreciated.

  • "This was our first stay in a lodge site and we were amazed how much space there was inside sea holly lodge particularly the open plan lounge/ diner/ kitchen and the master bedroom, also plenty of storage space."

Used the lodge as a base for exploring the cleveland way and we found Runswick Bay stunning and our dog loved playing on the beach every day. Plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. The secure site was very quiet, just what we wanted. Loved every minute. We will be back!

Very well equipped with everything we needed plus some extra goodies kindly left by the owners. Comfy beds and plenty fresh towels. I would highly recommend a stay here. Great location. We had some amazing days on the nearby beach and beautiful scenic walks along the coast.

  • "The property is on a lovely site, well cared for and quiet and in a lovely part of Yorkshire."

The lodge was clean and well presented with everything your could have needed. There where only two slight niggles. On the window next to the main entrance door the mechanism is broken. When you open the window it almost falls off. The other item was the double bed mattress. It was very lumpy and uncomfortable. However I would definitely stay there again. We had a lovely holiday.

  • "We had a fabulous holiday staying at Sea Holly Lodge."

It was spotless on arrival, very spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage. Having read previous comments about lack of hooks I took an over door hook rack which solved the problem. Having said that some hooks on doors would be extremely useful! We found no issue with the TV not having access to the standard channels and enjoyed Netfelix/used i player to get BBC news, shame you couldnt get a local weather forecast but you can easily get this online as the WiFi connection was good (much to the relief of our teenage kids). Everything we needed was provided and the complimentary tray of goodies and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. The site itself is very peaceful and it was nice to come back and relax in the lodge and have a game of Scrabble (also provided). There's plenty of info provided in the side unit if needed but we used the internet most of the time. We must recommend a visit to the tiny Beech Grove bakery in Runswick next door to Runswick Bay Hotel, run by a lovely lady who makes the most amazing cakes, pastries and bread. A great location to visit some beautiful places and Runswick beach within walking distance was wonderful. We had a brilliant holiday, thank you.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Thank you. It could have been improved by having better information about the lodge. For example there was no info about the cabin or the site in the lodge. We had no idea where to take our rubbish. A simple guide or recommendation of local pubs and restaurants would have been useful! We were also disappointed that the property didn’t have an outside bbq or instructions on how to use the tv or the Bluetooth speaker. Main bathroom has a smell of stagnant water which probably should be looked at. Similarly there is a loose stair handrail off the decking at the rear which needs attention. A few small bits missing/in need of attention to make it 10/10 (no airer to dry clothes, serious lack of hooks for hanging towels/clothes in bedrooms and bathrooms, no welcome information pack just site rules and a copy of the owners receipt showing what he paid for the lodge??, handrail on both sets of steps needs attention bits falling apart, decking area in need of a good clean down)

It had everything we needed for our weekend stay, and the added touch of tea/coffee/milk and biscuits was lovely! The only downside was not having basic TV channels, but otherwise we couldn't fault it. We wish we could have stayed longer, and definitely hope to return in the near future!

Well equipped and furnished. Beds were comfy and linen good quality. Downside there is no information pack with useful numbers, links, how to use etc. water pressure in boiler was constantly dropping so everyday I was having to refill the boiler before firing up.
