“The house had everything and more to make our stay comfortable.”

The parking permits made everything so much eaiser with the cars. Location was great, 10-15 min walk to the town centre, 5 mins to the train station and just a few minutes walk to the nearest supermarket. We would definitely stay here again.

The property

Within the delightful seaside town of Scarborough, less than a mile from the South Bay Beach, is this lovely Victorian mid-terrace house, with rooms resting over three floors.

44 Norwood Street is a perfect property for a large family, two families or groups coming together, to enjoy a break away from a busy life, to take in the fresh coastal air.

Enter through the front door and into the long hallway and notice the gleaming wooden floors leading you further in, turn left and step onto the red carpet of the sitting room, where you will happily sink into either the plush armchair or spread out on the large sofa after a day of exploring the Scarborough sights, flick on the TV and wind down into the evening.

Later find the dining room which benefits from a wonderful colour scheme of mustard yellow with painted wood panelled walls, it features a large dining table where all can gather for a fun board game or a celebratory meal, whilst overlooking the pretty courtyard to the back of the property.

When you are ready to start cooking up something tasty for dinner, head into the galley-style kitchen, where stylish red tiles contrast wonderfully with the bright white units and wood worktops, use the large electric Range cooker to bring your dish to fruition, with other useful appliances available including a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

Sit out with a coffee in the lovely courtyard and take in the morning sounds of Scarborough before you begin getting ready for your day, then head upstairs to the first-floor shower room, featuring a state of the art shower with rainfall and jet features.

The bathroom next door contains a brilliant feature; a spa bath, so you can look forward to returning to a hot soak with that extra luxury to help relax you after a busy day.

When the night comes and you need to rest, find two bedrooms on the first floor, a king-size overlooking the front of the property, with delightful blue and grey hues creating a tranquil setting, as well as a single room where you’ll find ample storage space for your belongings.

Moving further up to the second floor, discover another pretty king-size bedroom, with blush pink walls and a bed adorned in quality bed linens with a view out to Scarborough’s Windmill outside.

The final bedrooms completing the property are a bunk room, suitable for the little ones to catch their rest, leading into another king-size, where an elegant wardrobe and dressing table is placed.

When you are looking to start exploring, simply head out on foot with everything within walking distance for you, wander down to South Bay Beach and set up camp on a sunny day, enjoy ice creams while sat on fine soft sands, paddle in the calm waters, and at low tide explore all the rock pools.

With waterfront shops and restaurants backing the pier, you can head indoors for a delicious meal if you fancy it.

A whole host of activities await in this coastal town, visit Alpamere Water Park for thrilling fun on water rides, a great hit with both adults and kids, hire bikes to cycle around the town and along the coastal path, discover the local history by visiting Scarborough Castle and marvel at ocean creatures at SEA LIFE Scarborough.

44 Norwood Street is a gorgeous property perfectly placed to provide you with a fantastic base from which to discover Scarborough's delights.
